Video of me doing deadlifts

Couple of things to critique:
1) Keep your head in a neutral position. Craning your neck back like that can inhibit flexibility and motor firing, thereby limiting strength. Look out about 10-15' in front of you.

2) Stretch your calves and hamstrings. You need to try and sit back more into the lift.

Other than that - nice pulling. Just work on those two areas and start pulling some weight.

I like to start with the bar a bit farther from my shins, keeping my head behind the bar as opposed to over it.

Good work though.

Cuthbert

ya gotta look at the bar before each rep, if you are letting go (between reps). just my opinion but i make sure my grip is even if im going to be pulling some weight off the ground. same as if you were squatting or benching. youre a tall guy so you have a long way around those knees too. you gotta sit back more. work on sumo style as well, it will increase your hip strength and allow you to sit more in the conventional stance.

How much are you lifting? Those look like 25s on the bar to me, you should try to use 45s or raise the plates your using so they're the same height as 45s.

your weight is forward, you need to be pulling back onto your heels. it will feel like your going to fall backward, that when you know you are.

Exactly. One of the reasons his weight is forward is because of his knee position. He's too close to the bar. This is also why he's locking his legs first and THEN his hips, as opposed to making it one fluid movement that locks simultaneously
