ya gotta look at the bar before each rep, if you are letting go (between reps). just my opinion but i make sure my grip is even if im going to be pulling some weight off the ground. same as if you were squatting or benching. youre a tall guy so you have a long way around those knees too. you gotta sit back more. work on sumo style as well, it will increase your hip strength and allow you to sit more in the conventional stance.
