Hey guys, if you have been keeping up you know I had a fruit basket snagged at customs. The fruit was reshipped by my grocer. I am not sure if it was registered or not and of course I am waiting to hear from him. I got a USPS "sorry we missed you card" stating my order was registered and I could pick it up any time tomorrow after 8:30 am. What do you guys think? Is it a fruit sting? I am interested in your opinions and hearing from anyone with experience. Thanks

Nice codenames...call them up and ask if you can come get it a different day or if they could deliver it to you. If you try and change things around and it is a sting they wont be very compliant at all..keep asking to speak to higher level employees and stuff like that if they say it must be picked up or it will be disreguarded or something like that. It is prob legit but you always wanna be safe(esp after you have been snagged once, cause your addy may be flagged).

if your addy is flagged then why the hell would you send another package to it, i hope you used a different one. be very careful with what you do, i would do something along the lines of what greek freak said, good luck, keep us posted

Actually guys, it was sent to a different addy but still under my name.

Also guys there was not date and time specified, it just says you may get your package on or after sept 10 2002 anytime after 8:30 am

How did the grocer ship the fruit? Usually UPS and USPS leave all mail and packages on the front porch, UNLESS it requires a signature. Then they leave you the yellow card.

Call them up, and tell them when you want the fruit delivered. They are required to make up to (3) delivery attempts. So just phone the number on the back of the card, and tell them when to drop it off.

Also, fill out the yellow card and sign it. This authorizes them to leave your fruit when you are not home to eat it.

But call the grocer and ask him how it was shipped. If it was just regular UPS, I don't know why they didn't leave it by the door. Has this happened before with your UPS packages? A sting at the UPS Center sounds outrageous, but you never know.
