Anything Toyota... Best quality in my opinion, and great deals now since Obama decided to try to destroy Toyota with all the recalls and investigations... As if Ford and GM haven't had recalls 100 times more fatal and worse? Toyota is not unionized, and they're too much competition for our president's pet project; GM.

Dependable, but half way cool for that range is gonna be pretty much impossible. With a lot of legwork you might be able to find a vintage car that's been restored that will be dependable and stylish, but don't expect to find something like that quickly.
My 1960 Austin Healey Sprite was only slightly above that range and b/c it had a full resto pretty recently it's been very dependable.

Audi A4 - nice car, AWD, good on gas, fun to drive, seats 4 if needed. Luxury on the inside, people will think it's expenisve. Maintenance can be an issue.
to put it mildly. Dependable was his watchword. I would not buy an Audi w/o a factory warranty in place.
People he said half way cool and dependable. Accords are mommobiles.
The first, and so far still the only, suggestion that actually meets the thread makers qualifications.
Pick, Sonatas are not even half way cool, homie.
