However, the idea of romantic love is an invention of poets and screenwriters encapsulating the biochemical attraction we feel for the opposite sex which humans evolved to encourage mating. This lasts for a few months but the best description of "true love" I've heard came from a PHD that studied it her entire career. She described it as being accustomed to the regular stimulus of the other person in your life....I've found that to be the best description.

My current one is going on 17 years. We love each other, we desire each other, we respect each other, we are each others best friends. We laugh, we love, we live in each other's hearts.

And I'm not alone, here. I know Digi's been with his wife for 20ish years and he raves about her. Needto and Angel are right up there, too.

Basically, just because you're incapable of having a mature, truely love based relationship that evolves beyond the infantile infatuation stage, doesn't mean everyone else is wired the same way (thank the gods). Dude, face it, you're good looking and smart as hell, and emotionally about 12 years old. You think because women are more emotional, they are fucked up and you're better than them. I wasn't commenting on my level of evolution, in that post, but if you wanna play this game I've got about a half hour before I hit the sack, I'll briefly indulge you.

I could use $0.50 words to express my thoughts and feelings, but why? Retard is a perfectly acceptable word, look it up. My intention in using the word was to mean "one who was developmentally delayed or slow."

Fucking wack job, while not an aesthetically pleasing phrase, pretty well sums up a person who is mentally unbalanced without defining the parameters of such instability. I don't know Java well enough to define his mental instability, if such exists.

So you're basing your assumptions about me, a person you've never met, on the thoughts/behaviors of a friend. Do you actually know what I believe? For that matter, do you really know what your friend believes? Perhaps more importantly, do you even care?
