ok, something really weird just happened. i got some random popup on my computer that came on for only a split second saying, "Escape Now!!!" and then went away.

this wasnt a normal popup either because it didnt have a title toolbar thing, nor did it show up on the taskbar, nor was i visiting any sites when this happened. it just put a white box on my desktop and showed up.

i didnt even have a browser open.

uh, yeah.

Maybe it is a "run once" command that was set to run at a certain time..

or if you're connected to a network maybe someone did a "net send" command to you saying escape now..

Could be many things. Check the system tray and see if there are any windows open in the system that don't appear in the taskbar.

Doubtful that it is a virus/trojan, but possible ...

Someone I know was on their puter and all of a sudden from their speakers came out (a woman`s voice) "I`m watching you" and nothing else. It creeped her out she thought it was a virus or something but nothing else happened since.
