I rolled the dice and lost at being a karma bookie.
Thanks to everyone that took the time to bet on the events. They were a lot of fun (when you guys lost) at times... and very stressfull (the 100,000 limit thread :worried: ) at times too.
In the end I had a lot of fun. Now I am in the karma poor house for a long, long time.
Thanks again for all the good times. I never watched a game with such intensity as I did last night. My ass actually started to hurt when I realized I was not going to make it through that one.

Sadly, I was not on at all to see my karma at an all time high. I came on this morning just in time to see it at an all time low.. LOL (wait... thats not funny)

Dam, it those without crowns donated. Now, I feel bad. I was saving up for someone else's crowns. This will set me back, but its worth it.

Exactly. I felt badly about the fucking blood-sucking animals and their pileons, so I took the other side hoping to stimulate some action for the over. I know what it's like dawg. I hope you remember those who helped you out...I needed help once and still remember those who came through. Remember broly, it's the bookies who don't want a quick million that last the longest.

He gambled and lost,no since in feeling sorry for him.You think he would have donated some Karma back to all the losers if he had won.I don't think so.....

Oh believe me I know. Why do you think he made a thread here? He wanted donations from the girls who don't know any better. Slat1 was greedy and he paid the price. I wrote this in another thread:

I just read that again. When I book events I don't watch any of the games, unless it's NFL which I'm watching anyways...kinda funny.

Let me settle all the speculation. I just enjoyed being a bookie. It was fun. Different than betting. I never really thought the thread would get as much action as it did. A few people had been asking for a 100,000 limit thread so I put one up. At first nobody bet anything. So I tried to stoke the fire. LOL. It bit me in the ass.
I never really put much thought into the fact that I could make a ton of karma. I assumed the action would be even and I would stay the same. It was all in fun. Its not money thank god.
I will keep hitting everyone with karma that took care of me. It was an awesome gesture on peoples parts.

I think the bookie forum needs some tweaking.

Being able to call a halt to a pile-on and close the betting on an event would be a good option to help a bookie limit his losses. With 100,000 on the line I think everyone thought hard about their bet and the result was a last-minute pile-on. I don't think anyone really thought about breaking the bookie but you had no way to defend the position. Being able to set a difference limit on the action would suffice.

It was too much.

I wish there was a way to lock lines by the person who is making the event. This allows anti-piling on and also helps bookies prevent blood suckers from piling on to events that have ended...but still open because the payout time was messed up.

I wish Spellmeinster also could reward some of the bookies who set up the most events. That way, there's a constant flow of bookie events..and more reason for others to bet. Of course, that kills any reason to buy karmas in the first place...which is geigh to do.

By the way...today's NCAA footmaball games suck dogballs. DOGBALLS I SAY.
