Subject : Male, mid 40s, ER doc that has sent a good bit of biz my way and made me a very very happy camper with my new contracts.

Want to send a gift but no clue to what he likes or anything. I do know he doesn't smoke and does not drink at all. Not even a sip.

Trying to keep it under $300.

How did I know half the responses would be sex related?

Gift cards are impractical. Fuck I don't even know if the dude puts up a tree so a very nice ornament is out of the question.

impractical? He gets to buy whatever the fuck he really wants with someone else's money and gets to skip the fake appreciation routine for whatever useless piece of shit you'd get him instead

he doesn't want some stupid halo's/HID's for his car chris...

Real doctors buy cars w/those already installed from the factory.

No kids. But look at how Nan contributes to the thread instead of you other braying jackasses with your lololololololdickgaglololol shit.

Anyway... I would just regift him something that my mother gives me, but I am too ashamed of what she buys for me.

Did he ever mention pets, sports, did you see what kind of watches or ties he uses, did he order food around you and if so what kind?
Tell us more about your interactions with him.

I'm kind of late to the game here, you've probably already taken care of it but what the hell: What about making a donation in his name to a charitable organization, Cancer or something like that, maybe the hospital he works in? A couple of times the doctors I worked for received gifts like that.

Doctors are tough to buy for unless you can ask a friend or family member what they're into. I wanted to get my sports med guy something and ended up asking his wife what he was into (she works in his office). Shocked the hell out of me when she said "He loves chocolate" (another non drinker/non smoker, very fit, I never would have guessed him to be a chocoholic).

That's another thought, really high quality food gifts are usually safe bet, too. If nothing else, they can put them out for guests. Think smoked salmon, organic, grass fed, dry aged steaks, extremely high quality chocolate, caviar, you get the drift.
