ive taken ambien for months straight at a time and went off cold turkey and had trouble sleeping for like 2 nights maybe. the shit that really fucked me over was xanax. dont get yourself twisted with that shit. ambien is good though and wont kill you.

xanax a benziodiapem, like valium, restoril, etc. known to be highly addictive and extremely difficult to break dependency.

there is a stigma against sleeping pills that comes from past classes of sleeping pills like barbituates (rarely prescribed anymore, definitely not for sleeping aids), and benzios. both these classes of drugs are highly addictive.

there are new classes of sleeping pills, like ambien, that are safer.

I hate taking sleeping pills as well, but i was prescribed 10mg ambien and i have not had any sides from it. wake up the next morning felling great no tiredness or anything like that. when i wake its like i didn't take any sleeping pills. they work great
