TRAP bar deads

Interesting...even my good points were deleted...even the ones about the lack of carry over from trap bar deadlifts to any other exercise in the gym...

I have one, don't like it, does nothing for me, and for me it builds nothing more than the trap bar deadlift.

Used it once around the time I started deadlifting.

I still deadlift today.

Haven't picked up the trap bar since.
 
I deleted the responses where people started debating eachother's intelligence with low blows. If you intermixed low blows with solid info, then you're going to have to retype it. I saved the responses that were on topic.


Now can we get back to the trap bar? :)
 
While I didn't like the trap bar myself, that was because I had been DLing so long. You can make it just like a DL (or SLDL) except for grip; it all depends on how you upright you keep your torso and how much you let your hands go forward. If you go straight up and down it is like a bad partial squat though.
