Crash bar can save your life on a bike. I read your journal sorry to hear about your broken bone, but your alive that's all that matters. You have all the time in the world to juice so keep your head up.

I've had my share of bike wrecks at my age is said never again,
my last was on a 350 Honda Scrambler 1978 in hit the front breaks cause a dog ran out in front of the car ahead of me i went over the handlebars and got caught up in the bike (i was on a gravel road btw) anyway me and the bike went down the road and a piece of gravel snapped the nylon strap to my helment into ,when i stood up my head fell to the side ,i took my hand to hold it up and it fell over again, thankfully the Doc said it shocked my muscles so they couldn't hold my head up, I was lucky,the bad part was they picked several pea sized bits of gravel outta my ass, I was messed up for a month, Bikes are fun ,but deadly also.
At my age i won't ride again.

bikes arent worth it man...8 years ago i hit a woman who pulled in front of me...i was going 50mph, i launched over her car and it felt like i rolled about 1/2 a mile down the street..when the paramedics showed they looked at the bike then me and said "how are you alive" i managed to walk away with a sprained ankle and major major road rash...dont ask me how i managed that but i think god was with me and i said from that day on, i will never ride a bike again!!
Damn bro. Sorry. At least you're still with us

And fellas, thanks. Just went to the doc today, my situations better than I thought. No surgery needed, should be walking within 3 weeks he said!!!!
Then I'm going to hit the gym for a month and hop back on cycle.
