Traffic Baffles me...

Why is traffic (in the cities) double and somtimes triple on Thursdays compared to other days of the week?
Mondays it takes me 30 mins to get home, Thursdays it takes me close to an hour.
What's up with that?

People take Friday's off in the summer. Perhaps they travel to weekend homes, or to visit family outta the city.

People leave early for the weekends. Thursday is a big meeting day because..

No one meets on Monday's. Only internal meetings. To easy to forget. Tuesday is catch up day from Monday.
Wednesday is the hump day. I always make my Wednesday slow.
Then there is good old Thursday. After a slow day and right before the weekend.
Fuck Fridays. I will always try to get out of a Friday meeting!

Hence why Thursday is a busy day. Jump start on weekend trips. Meetings that have to happen before the week ends. Happy Hour is on Thursday too.

Hmm.. Maybe some are planning a weekend getaway.... Long weekend away to hump hump and eat... and hump again...

Well this is All year round. Mon, Tue and wed, the traffic is not bad, Thursday it's nightmare and Friday is still worse than mon, tues or wed, but not as bad a Thurdays.

Well I listen to loud heavy metal when I drive, so I get out my agression that way. I mean I get mad and use the words ahole and idiot many times, but I never cut pl off or give ppl the finger.

It is complex and though others are giving some good responses , it doesn't make sense why the traffic double/triples b/c of meetings or taking along weekend.
Oh and by the way, I am on the road by 3:30 everyday when most ppl are still in the office.

I swear, this baffles me. I sit in close to 90-2 hrs of traffic every day, so I have lots of time to think.

I'll gladly take my 30 minute, 17 mile, non-congested 4 lane highway commute thru the beautiful country to and fro work each day to your traffic jamed, exhaust filled, road raging, stressful, hour commutes.

knoxvegas is messed up. They are always doing construction which seems to take an eternity and really never solves anything.

I come into work before the rush hour and leave after it too.

In return I have fri, sat, and sundays off.

Yes and No.

I did NOT want to miss the perfect wind we had up on Erie Saturday!

And...It was my once every three months to work in the kitchen @ shelter. I wish I had more time to donate, but, I'm kinda selfish with my time.

I do what I can other than the "norm" time I give 'em.

I'm still reeling over the 90 minutes YOU spend in traffic. I guess my thirty minutes, at times, is nothing! I'll keep you in mind the next time I'm complaining.
