Hey bro, I saw the compliment about my back that you paid me in the thread that got closed. It doesn't get old hearing that bro, thanks. For my last show (July 26) it was one of my weak points, so I decided that I wasn't going to give it a choice but to grow. It's no PittbullSTL, but I made progress. Now I have do the same thing to my delts and arms, I think if I can make the same kind of changes to them, I may have something. Thanks for the compliment though.
 
i closed the thread b/c i was through whining. the back is great. do you have your back workout posted somewhere?
 
I put up a typical workout in my pics thread. Somedays, I'll switch it up from time to time to keep things fresh. I have been advised that I shouldn't do deads and rows in the same session. This is what I had posted for back day:

4 x 8-12 palms facing away chin-ups
3 x 10-12 deadlift
3 x 8-12 bent over rows (usually barbell)
3 x 8-10 upright rows (usually smith machine)
3 x 8-12 palms facing toward lat pull downs

I'll do reverse flyes or chest supported rows in place of lat pulldowns or upright rows sometimes. Not sure yet if I'm gonna stop doing deads and rows in the same day. I'm inclined to think I'll stay with what's working until it stops working, ya know?
 
Good, luck with it. I know that it really helped me to fix what was a problem for me. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.
 
Back? I like doing Deads, Pullups, one armed dumbell rows, and strict heavy seated cables..... Just that little extra sqeeze at the backward part of the hold movement.

Thanks bor. I'm feeling pretty stoked heading in to my last 3 weeks. I'm sure that it can still be screwed up, but so far, so good.

I'd better make sure I hit my poses right then! Thanks for the motivation bor.

Reason #3 I won't ever compete. Posing. Sheesh. For those of you with enough cajones to get up in something less than a washcloth and pose, my hat is off to you.

By the time you put in all the work that you need to in order to get the physique to get up there, the cajones come natural. 90 seconds isn't long enough after the months and sometimes years of preparation.
