I have been doing martial arts with this instructor and today I blocked a punch, followed it with a forearm grab and a simaltaneous shoulder strike. He hit the floor. What a good feeling

please more detail.. like did you grab his right or left arm.. with your right or left.. did you step into the strike.. where on the shoulder? how did it drop him?

thanks!!!

The opponent struck me in the right chest with his left arm. That led to me grabbing the forearm (in the nerve), yanking it toward the ground (with my right hand) and at that same time a left handed strike to his left shoulder. It knocked him on his back. He responded with "Damn good move, that kinda hurt"

thanks!

Sounds like a pretty cool sequence...

If I had a guy punch me on the chest with his left arm I would laugh at him first... Then I would lay him out with a right hook for the insult...

the fedor throw in your sig is missing????

shit i think i gave you that link in the first place...

Hmm?

the Fedor/Randellman throw is still there.

It is in the side chest as a practice sequence. In a real fight I have never been hit in the chest

In a street fight most guys will not punch your chest, they'll try to knock your head off with a haymaker. IF the move counts on the guy throwing the punch AND connecting with you body so you can grab their limb then you might be in big trouble when using it. Just my opinion I could be wrong.

no, On a punch I will first block, step and evade. Then wait for a counter. I am pretty quick. However I have a slight bruise on my left brow from my instructors hit. Damn, he is an instructor and I am a beginner. Whhy the fuck am I getting hit

Somebody aims a "punch" at your chest, I'd wonder if he had a nasty little blade in his fist.
