WTF is wrong with this city? Seriously and what the hell are the police doing? This guns & gangs task for sure doesn’t seem to be stopping much. FYI for you Yankees or typical murder rate total per year is in the mid 60’s. This year we are up to 72. This summer was the worst on record for violence it is being called the summer of the gun. Anyways my question is really what can be done about this? Obviously need to tighten up our board a bit because a good majority of our illegal firearms come from the US. What else though? I mean the guns on there own is not the problem it is the criminal using them. So what is Toronto to do to stop this escalating violence?

That is what I am saying it can’t be the “norm” around here. Wondering if there are any cities that have successfully stopped there growth and spread of violence? Or are we just doomed?

It is just so sad!!! When you look back in time, there was not as much violence as there is today. Parents are not beating there kids like they used to!!!! That is the problem with kids today! They need to have there asses Kicked not punished!!

Yeah NOT beating your kids that is the reason for the violence, because teaching your kids that violence is wrong by beating them is the way to go.

I got my ass beat when I did wrong! In addition, I am sure there are others here that have had there ass kicked by there parents on a few occasion and there not out on the streets shooting it up. I just do not think parents have the rights as they used to. Now your ass will go to jail for hitting your kids.

Don't get me wrong hitting is not always the right thing to do.
But look at the time line. Why have things changed so much
