for my back
4 sets of pullups.
4 sets odf deadlifts
2 sets dumbell rows
2 sets hang cleans.
just started weight training. goal to pack on 10#'s muscle.. not fat..
IMO pullups are a great back warmup exercise so do those first. deadlifts dont pull more than 8 - 10 reps max
and at about 75% of your max single rep weight. if you're doing your pullups with a wide grip, i would consider
adding 3 sets of seated cable rows to hit your middle back a bit more.
i would do deads first...
then cleans,
then rows,
and pullups last...
that is, heaviest to lightest...
but youre asking about volume, and it would depend on reps and %max used...
you could do less sets and still make gains...
