I know maybe you are financially stretched and that is why you drive a more "economical" used car..but listen, please treat it like it was brand new..get the oil checked regularly, changed, whatever..tires rotated, engine checked etc...do it periodically..maybe once every three months? I know it costs about 50 bucks to do so, but hell its better than thinking your just saving money for a while and all of a sudden your engine completely blows the fuck up.
I just heard from one of my best friends who is kinda poor..he works very hard as a laborer and he had an old cavalier..and he never took care of it...well yesterday his engine blew up and he said "he didnt know why"...so now he got an estimate and its gonna cost him 800 dollars to fix his car and he has no ride until he can pay that..huge blow to his pocket book..i feel bad for him cuz he's depressed cuz again, he is kinda poor and supports himself..i wish i had the cash to help him out but I dont..
but again, please take care of your car no matter how big a POS you think it is..it'll save you money in the long run..
