Here are all these professional bodybuilders, talking openly about steroids, their cycles, and how they wouldn't be anywhere in the sport without them. None of them endorse supplement companies, trying to sell their "muscle building" products to the novices... all of them being totally open and honest about steroid use...

And then there's Arnold.

Saying that he didn't take them? That maybe he "experimented" with them, but that's it? And advising young people not to take illegal compounds that could have serious criminal and physical ramifications?

That fucker.

I mean hell... it's not like he opened the door for the sport of bodybuilding or anything....

Arnold knows what he is doing, he has PR people that work for him. He is famous. He says he didn't do drugs for the assholes out there who believe you can get a physique like his without drugs.
For those who are not assholes, we know he used them and probably still does. But we do not want him to suffer because of using roids. Many of us would not have our jobs if we tested positive for using roids. I keep it secret from my GF, people who dont understand may look down upon a steroid user.

Ok just to clear something up you cannot get arrested for saying you use steroids, weed, blow, lsd, x...even if they find it in your system they can't. They have to actualy find the shit on you, in your home, gym locker...etc...

But that's the thing.Who cares if you or I lie about it? We don't have any influence on masses.Maybe if he would start educating people about roids their perception would change?I only attribute 20-30% of his success to roids, he did have great genetics.But he would look MAYBE like bigger version of Steve Reeves without them.

Maybe Coleman thinks he's natural.After all...test is natural and so is insuline.Just kidding.I don't think anybody cares about Coleman or even knows who he is.BTW, I suspect he got most of his roids from the police drug raids on "steroid drug lords".Anyway I don't care too much about pros, Lee Priest is the only one who is kinda likable.If only he didn't lie about his cycle...

hey grave digger, I totally agree about arnold. Ive thought this 4 a while. I bought his book, The encyclopedia of bodybuilding over a yr ago and this was before I got into AS. I couldnt fig out why in the AS section of his book he only had a paragraph stating that he was totally against the use of AS. That has since made me lose some respect for the book. If you ask me, he pretty much owes his career, and movie success to AS.

I was thinking the exact same thing, then I read this post. However, I read in an article (I wish I could remember from where) where arnold said:

"Don't get me wrong, I don't condone MY us of steroids......."

I also saw him in washington one time as a guest speaker for the presidents fitness council (or whatever it was he represented for the president) and he openly talked about it when asked questions. He admitted the use, but said he was very against it. Mostly because of the reasons above, IMO!

I was a 16 yr old punk working at a video store when they told us to pull our copies off the shelf. So they are still out there-cool. As for the implants-like I said RUMOR. He probably still works out a lot and that would make having any implants risky so who knows. He is still a god in my book and I smoke weed instead of drink for the same reason he did-it's zero calories and safer than hard booze. yeehaw.
