Are you taking L-Glutamine or peptides?

I've noticed a lot of debate about the effectiveness of the two and just wanted to see what you all are using...

Also, does it get a bit easier on the stomach after a few weeks?

I just started with the Prolab Glutamine powder.. hurts the stomach from a few minutes after I take it for quite a while afterwards...

And, Good Lord! You're looking smokin' in that av Sassy!!

I take Prolab Glutamine, and it helps me wonders. Everytime I forget to take it I suffer, yet, when I do remember, I don't suffer half as bad. Never suffered any digestive problems though, but I have a pretty strong stomach, so that may not mean anything.

FWIW since I've started taking glutamine my recovery time is much shorter and I'm not nearly as sore the day after a hard workout. I've used Nature's Best brand, MRM brand and Optimum Nutrition. Never had any stomach problems from any of those. I've taken it in a protein shake as well as by itself with just water.

A little birdie told me... L Glutamine doesn't survive the digestive tract so if you take it orally it won't make it to your blood. Glutamine Peptides is a glutamine bonded (attached) to a peptide that will protect the glutamine from breaking down before it gets to your blood.

Sooo, just recently I made the move to EnerG and use it with my shake...Kinda tastes mocha-like...but I like it :D

also... I never really notice muscle soreness, b/c I usually don't dwell on it or look for it to define my workouts either...(IMO)

Thanks Necia.. :)

When you say it helps you wonders, in what way? Are we talking muscle-soreness?

Yep it speeds my recovery time. When I remember to take it, I can bounce back the next day and work another body part no PROB. Now when I forget to take it, I sometimes damn near want to walk much less work another body part.

Also with the powders it takes a certain amount of fluid to get it into you system and not just sitting in the bottom of your stomach. Over the last several years I've always put my glutamine in w/ my shake - that total fluid is usually around 20 oz.
