this weird feeling I got in my calves after practice/lifting

basically after 2 1/2 hour long intense basketball practice(basically LOTS of sprints and skrimage etc) and half hour of leg work outs in the weight room(lightweights going as fast/hard as you can for a minute such as squats, jumping boxes, lounges etc etc etc.) I layed down to do some ab work out.

so I put my legs up on the wall and in my calves I got this sensation like my blood down there was bubbling or something.. like its hard to describe but felt like hmm there was something else involved in the blood that made my calves twitch or whatver a little.. I did cramp up a little after just basketball practice but then I drank at least half a gallon of water and it helped me get trough the weightroom.. maybe it was just water or oxygen going to my myscles..


but just out of curiousity has anyone ever experienced anythig like this? or what could it be?
