When using weights with a BENCH OR machine it takes strain off of other muscles, so you can concentrate directly on the muscle you are working. The ball keeps all the muscle TENSE (because it is unbalanced and is not stable), which makes it difficult to concentrate on one muscle. The ball is just a gimmick to encourage people to go which makes it seem fun. I only see this ball used at bally's or some other corporation gym... THE only use I can see that ball is good for is if you what to join a circus and would like to carry a 45 pound plate across a wire. If you encourage this activity it is extremely dangerous and a high risk of injuries when you are DOING HEAVY WEIGHTS (heavy weights is doing flat with 110 + pound dumbbells not 10 pound dumbbells).
