This is unreal ....kitchen explosion

You won't believe what happened,the wife goes into the kitchen to boil 4 eggs tells me to let her know when time is up, Duh! you know how time flies when you're on the computer, so after a while we hear a noise (the cats are all the time knocking things over) after 30 mins i hear her scream ,yep the water had boiled out of the pan and the Eggs EXPLODED!!! egg whites everywhere on the walls ,ceiling,everywhere i have never seen such a mess.


The whole house stinks,I'm moving out!

once i boiled broccoli apparently in a pan that wasn't safe for the stove.. and it exploded everywhere... and rotten water was stuck under the hood of the stove, and my kitchen started smelling rank and I couldn't figure out what it was. Finally found the rotten green water. I'm pretty sure I posted a thread about it a couple years ago, I may go search for it.
 
Some friends of mine owned a deli and one afternoon one of them put some eggs on to boil. He forgot about it and locked up and went home. Next morning, dark and early about 5:00am he opens the door and smoke and stink comes pouring out. He panics but remembers the eggs and runs in. No fire, thank god but he turns off the heat and opens windows, turns on fans, etc. The stink wouldn't leave. A customer brought by this little air filter ionizer thing. That fucker had the stink out in a few hours. Amazing. I don't remember what it was called but I think several companies make and sell them. I think it ran like $300-500.

Sorry to hear that happened. It happens to everyone now & then. Here's a picture of my kitchen this morning, that might make you not feel alone. My wife took the notion to get the breakfast room and kitchen repainted, as it was done in a faux-paint design like an Italian restaurant with fake broken plaster and bricks showing, etc. So the whole breakfast room is piled into the kitchen, and I'm sitting on my leg extension machine in the gym to use my computer and eat breakfast. She got an artist to do the ceiling in the breakfast room like a sky, with abstract lighting to make it look like daytime or nighttime. Kind of cool, like the ceiling in one of the Vegas hotel basements (can't remember which one). I just wish it would get FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish it was bigger to see the detail ,I know some artists who do that,chances are i know this one.

I don't know who did the old faux design, but the people who owned this house before, were the type that had to show off and impress everybody by having everything the most expensive or newest you can get, and the latest trends (even though they might not have liked it themselves, as long as whatever it is looked expensive). MTV filmed an episode of Cribs in this kitchen, since it was very similar to the celeb's real one. Whatever rapper or whoever it was, didn't let them film in their real kitchen. The faux paint job had something to do with that show. I didn't hate it, but my wife did. The first thing I did when we moved in, was I tore out all the plasma and LCD flat-screen TVs and put real tube sets in place. Now we're getting rid of the trendy Italiano kitchen, and now the driveway has Fords, Chevys and Toyotas in stead of the former owner's Hummers and Mercedes. And the wine rack is now filled with all shapes & sizes of Costco house-brand bottled water ;)

The lady who is doing the sky scene is Candi Moffatt of Los Angeles. She did the murals at the Los Toros restaurant in LA, which is often seen in movies & TV shows with Mexican restaurant/bar scenes. She's done a lot of wall murals and memorials, etc. She's giving us a great deal because of lack of work with the economy. Now I have to "play electrician" and install some abstract lighting to make it all work. She's been here for nearly a week, and it's incredible how much work is involved in doing one of those real-life murals. Now that I figured out that EF pic hosting is only thumbnail size, I'll link to a bigger picture when this is all done (SOON PLEASE!!!!!!!!!)

Something similar happened to me, left a pot of beans boliling slowly and went to my neighbour's stayed more that I should when I got back the pot had explode beans all over the damn place, pot was ruinned :(
