well it doesnt really resemble a typical mushroom. it's got this weird orangy-red middle part.

re: the bathroom remodel - it's at a stand still as it has been for months. i don't even bring it up anymore. I tried to suggest just calling a professional and letting them take over and get it done in 2 or 3 days - but that didnt go over so well. i don't anticipate it ever getting finished unless we would need to sell the place.

in the meantime, I am painting the downstairs bathroom myself and replacing the light fixture, faucet, etc. it needs some updating. so the bathroom I'm in charge of will be done next weekend

I find it strange that it comes back in the same place every year too. Almost like a fungus with a memory or something.

What in the world is this thing that has grown in my front lawn for 2 straight summers now? This same thing appeared last summer as well and I can't figure out what it is other than just plan fucking gross. There's like one big growth and then a few smaller ones also. Whem i first saw it last year I blamed my husband for dumping his cigar butts onto the front lawn one time because I figured that old cigar butt turned into a fungus monster. but now i dont know what it could be.

and when i kicked it up with my shoe it came up from the ground and here's how the underside of it looks

so gross.

this thing cures everything from grody girls to cancer....according to asian history.
but without better pics it could just be a jelly fungus...which makes a great soup thickener, if you need that sort of thing...
