so is coca
so is the plant that makes up the majority of lsd
so is opium

i'm not saying legalize all these things, and i'm not even sure what my stance is on weed/roids being legal (i see pros and cons to both)...but the problem i have is that joosers somehow think there drug is somehow different and that they are responsible, while all the other various drug users are not.
basically what every druggie claims

i completely agree, i don't want to foot the bill for anybodys habit.
but i bet there is a lot of joosers doing shady things to pay for there fix...gaying out, selling, theivery...drugs are drugs, and certain elements are gonna do what it takes to get their fix.
make those collecting welfare pass a piss test.
all the stoners i know all have respectable incomes and careers...none sit on there ass and collect welfare.

Pot -> Lost Education -> Fewer Opportunities -> Economic hardship

Not to mention the stoners who can't get off the couch because they "wake and bake" every day. And the people who use pot as a gateway drug.

Any form of government aid of any kind should require a drug test. I'm talking Medicaid, subsidized housing, unemployment insurance, welfare, food stamps, etc. etc.

The stoners i know are well educated, with good jobs most are juicers as well.
There is a lot of people that can't get of the couch for a lot of reasons other than drug use .
The gateway theory is bullshit.
I'm a Ron Paul guy, so as far as Government goes, I'm all for very limited Government services.People just need to be left alone.

He can just counter you point using the example in "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" of the delusional types that juice in the hopes of attaining their dreams of greatness all the while they are living in a van parked in the Gold's Gym's lot. Generally it is the person, their personality type, and the motivation behind using the drug that creates the problems with drug use in my opinion. I won't deny that many users of pot and other recreational drugs are motivated by the desire to flee from their miserable life. I don't think the problems generally are the drugs themselves though as they are inanimate objects with no motive.

I completely agree with your assessment regarding personal responsibility. If someone wants to sit on their duff all day smoking pot and or drinking and doing other narcotics then fine. Don't expect others to pick up the bill for your lifestyle. Unfortunately many social programs seem concentrated on supporting the lowest of the low, not uplifting them.
