anarchy and no laws? I thought you followed my posts, but apparently not.jerseyrugger76 said:Ummm, aside from you and a few other burnouts on this board, I'm pressed to think of anyone outside of college (i.e. adults) who do that anymore.![]()
And I find it most amusing that your solution to crime is to eliminate LAWS and not the BEHAVIORS the laws were intended to prevent. I imagine it is because you are wildly liberal and that being on the side of the law would put you on the same side as the United States Government and you couldn't countenance that.
If you had your way, we'd all live in total anarchy (i.e. no laws, so none of this pesky "illegality" business), on the beach, in a drum circle, doing bong hits. This may sound like a dream come true to you, but I loathe the beach, drum circles, and I find anarchy none too appealing. Of course, this would probably last for all of 48 hours until some country with its shit together (i.e. one with laws -- I dunno Paraguay) invaded our drug addled asses and began occupying your little utopia.
We'd have quite a few laws in our perfect world bro, you couldn't kill me, for any reason, except that I was trying to kill someone at the time first.
Stealing would be a big no no too.
We'd even have some laws against loud noises late at night and the such.
Anarchy scares me, and I think laws and their enforcement are quite important. Do I agree with every one? No. Do I do anything to intentionally endanger others? No. The laws you seem as paramount to our current society (since its so perfect I suppose) are the ones that limit people's individual freedoms. What they can and can't do with their bodies. That type of thing? I'd be against most of them. I'd prosecute the behaviors that were indeed wrong, such as murder and burglary, and leave people to do as they wish in private so long as it doesn't affect other's adversely.
