You forgot to list NONE!!!! Almost three years now, and I haven't had a single side effect. Then again I'm being VERY conservative.

Only did one cycle and experienced bad hair loss, slight gyno (caught it in time and used nolvadex) and it seems my nuts are smaller than normal now. Even through all that I still catch myself dreaming of a new cycle all the time. The only thing I can say for people who use is they have to live by the motto of live for today. I personally could care less what happens to me after I turn 50.
 
It cause my blood pressure to shoot up, it was like 110/160
My personal doctor gave me a tongue lashing and told me to stop.
At present I'm taking leuzea carthamoides and it halt my muscle from shrinking but the blood pressure is still quite high 90/140
I don't know how to lower my blood pressure.
 
One of the biggest side effect was gaining 30 lbs of mass in 1 cycle..... dball 25 mg, deca 400 mg,,, hmm ..did you say side efects though???lol:D
 
Damn, I've only been doing AS for a little over one year and I've had alot of shit on the way. I've done about 5 cycles in that time. Lets see:
alot of these are caused by inexperience and unability to access how I would respond to different things. Remember everyone is different and everyone will respond to everything differently, basically like I have.
All of these are from different cycles, or off cycles.

-depression
-anxiety
-fatty gyno distribution
-money
-risks with recieving parcels
-high BP
-acne
-roid rages (only with fina)
- *Gotta keep an eye on the liver!!
- *Of course the kidneys too!
-joint pain
-sexually related problems
-definitely concerned about cancer, always gotta be careful.
-bloat sucks ass, moon pie face is shit.
-nose bleeds ED/EOD on fina.
-increased sensitivity and suseptibility to injury.
-low test levels after off cycle.
-parents finding stuff at home over summer break from college.
-accusations

Man I got a good list, some more prevalent or more severe than others, but for the most part you've gotta learn what you can handle and what you do best with. Everyone is trial and error, and I'm still working on what suites me the best with the least side effects.
 
So far Acne, money and some good gains are the most popular side effects.

Guess this goes to prove that "big brother" doesn't know shit.:inflate: All "big brother" tells people is that you'll never have kids, you kill your kidneys, you'll shirnk post cycle----Etc. Etc.

The hardest part of juicing, is trying to deny that I am juicing to my family and girlfriend.

Another problem is after my second cycle I retained a lot estrogen fat around my waist. But that's my own fault I plan on using arimidex my next cycle.
 
Rugger ,you sound like me bro I'm only 5'6 1/2 and I WAS 220 lbs hard as a rock and bloated couldn't tie my shoes well, could not run as good in fact if I had to run for my life I might as well just walk lol also could not wash my face easily my bi s wouldn't let me couldn't reach my neck and felt like a little monster BUT I was very strong for a little guy lol. Bloat and fatgue was my worst sides no acne at all never hair very dry and thined some but usually comes back after cycle I say its worth it even though the gains off this last cycle most was lost due to a injury.

Too much sex drive is my only one..........I've done 20 or so cycles, but, always did really low dosages compared to whats tossed around here...........

Justin Henderson, 22yrs old. Zelienople, PA. Died memorial weekend working at gnc in north pittsburgh. he collapsed and died in front of several people. he was a very good friend of mine. i used to date his sister but she dislikes me now. he was a very mild user. But the one thing i think he abused was DNP and he died about an hour after he took a shot around 10am. I dont know all the details because his sister wont really talk to me but she said it was from steroids. Death is not a common side effect. Some people react differently to different drugs. Some people are born with blocked arteries and never now. This was just very unfortunate.
 
dnp is not a steriod in my book. also we don't know what else ( rec drugs, eca, or alchol) he was taking.

I'm sure his non-educated sister would like to blame steroids. And probably doesn't like any legal or illeagal supplements.

My ex father inlaw tried to tell me that my legs would fall from steroids.....LOL Thats right my legs would fall off.

This post is to help get the truth out about side effects. Not someones opion of something they have never used or know anything true about.

I don't know about social life, never have been real social myself.

Of course if you notice the good stuff is "all about me" and my imperfect self looking to others to give me satisfaction. Bullshit, I do this for me - but I am not going to lie, I like the attention.
I am very fortunate and have a great wife that keeps me VERY satisfied. But it is an ego boost when you get chicks hitting on you. I know my wife gets a boost when guys hit on her at the gym. A guy that I know from the gym said check this one out. I said she is hot - that is my wife. Boy he felt dumb. My wife was flattered.

Have only done 2 oral cycles so far (was planning injections, but decided to keep it for a winter bulking cycle).

dbol only:
1. water retention and high blood pressure
2. prostate pains once or twice for a few minutes
3. very small amount of tiny acne on shoulders and back
4. horny as hell
5. NO liver or cholesterol problems (got blood tests)
6. awesome pumps, muscle gains, strength gains

winny + a side of var:
1. depressed/restless/emotional (from winny, because only did var the 1st week with no problems)
2. aggressive/irritable (NOT enough to lose control - just a feeling mmmmkay) (from winny)
3. loss of appetite
4. sex drive is up
5. NO liver problems yet (got blood test yesterday)
6. didn't check cholesterol (mid cycle now)
7. awesome strength gains and muscle retention while losing bodyfat
 
my blood pressure will sometimes get so high that my nose will bleed up to 3 times a day... This isn't all related to AS tho, life gets very stressful for me sometimes.

Thats really about it for me

Hair is a bit of a worry, but I overdose on all protectants for everything. Health is my #1 concern.

Psychological sides is the worst IMO. The physical ones can all be addressed with the right precautions. Money can be issue.

* Anxiety while on
* Depression coming off
* Hiding it from friends/family
* Looks (and whispers) in the gym
* Feeling horny all the time and not able to focus on work
* Increased irritability
 
Very few sides, so far, and I am in the middle of my second cycle. Deca and Dbol have zero side effects on me, accept lower back pumps, but they are minor.

Winny, however has been owning my joints, but I am getting on top of that now.

-having to hide from family/friends, try to bs my way out of why i gained 15lbs in 3 weeks

-retarded strength gains...120-150lbs on my squat/100lbs on deads/40lbs on bench
 
I had slight high BP before and using AAS pushed it in to the severe hypertension range. It's not problem now because I'm on clonidine.

no other sides in my personal exprience.

I saw you had bad acne, and used accutane, and then used gear and acne did not come back. What type of gear did you use? I am gonna be taking some var, and I am acne prone, have some back acne, and very little face acne, but real oily skin without gear. I am gonna be taking b5 and guggulsterrone during the cycle. I have access to Antioboiotics and accutane I am planning to take after the cycle. I don;t want to break out bad. Do you think taking accutane witht hte cycle is a bad idea as long as I take a lot of liver supps?
 
Acne -- acutane is currently solving that.

Above average bloodpressure -- anti e, cardio, low sodium diet solved that

Cholesterol -- no probs there

Liver -- values come back fine

Test leves -- mid upper range

Roid range -- none, but clomid makes me an emotional bitch.

Spending too much money-- on gear, no, on food and supps maybe. But its all relevant. I don't buy booze or cigarettes or new cars, so whatevs.
 
IN all honesty the worst side i have gotten from gear is back pumps and bloat. I have been pretty lucky I guess. I am MPB prone so I stay away from things that will cause this for long periods of time. Also, I try to stay away from the things that can cause more serious sides like a-bombs, tren, dnp etc.

So far so good. knock on wood.

this was my biggest side effect- hampering of the social life. if you want to get laid, you gotta get out there, unless you have a girlfriend or something.
 
I have cycled for roughly 10 years ....but....never in high doses and never for more than 10 weeks at a time.
(right now I am taking 1.5cc Deca a week and 3.0cc Winny V a week divided into 3 shots at 1cc each) Hardly an abuser.......I have never had a problem with any of the side effects that you speak of until three days ago when I noticed my back to be breaking out......So I guess my side is NOW acne......
 
This is a good thread, since it has been revived, I will thwo in my 2 cents as well...

Back pumps, zits, and insomnia...none of them too rough to deal with, but bent over rows went right out of my routine...

The side that bothered me the most was the increase in BP. I went from a normal of 120/80 to as high as 145/90 while on. (six weeks after the cycle, I am back to 120/77).

I also took hawthorne berry every day to counter the high BP, but it didn't do much.

Since I know now that the BP will return to normal once the cycle is over, I am not too worried about it, but I will always monitor once a week while on cycle.

Moodiness and social issues. My friends who know I juice tell me that I'm "emotionally numb" while on it and completely laxidazical about everything. But it comes and goes. A lot of the crap I put up w/ from people becomes unbarable to me on AAS. If someone tells me a stupid joke I look at them like they're retarted, or if I'm in a conversation I don't care about I can't pretend I do. Post cycle depression is a bitch too, but only lasts about a month for me.
 
worst problem was roid rage i got in the most stupid fights ever, for example. Some dude telling me my buddies car was a peice of shit...
 
My big concern taking AAS (currently 32 years old and running my second cycle) are not the short term effects which I think everyone here is mentioning but the long term effect on specifically your heart and liver.

The short term sides (for me are totally minor), I think I just get a little extra stressed about things. It's 10-20-30 years down the line which concerns me...
 
I know there is a big debate about roid rage bieng real or not. I guess it all depends on he person but all too many times have i seen kids that are sauced and just can't control themselves knowing what is about to transpire can very well lead them to jail. Every year i see a good case of roid rage. Funniest time was on line to some place over here in the east were this kid got thrown out of the club for fighting and ended up in front of the club with the kid he was fighting well to make a long story short the (jiuced kid) (ya know he was juiced from the traps - bloated neck and puffy wrists but no waist) cleared out the whole frigin area got dragged to the ground by 3 bouncers then jumps up like he was god literally "grunting like a horse"out of his nose.. I'll never forget it - mind you this guty wasn't that tall just had enough steam to bull doze anyone - And they let kid walk away
 
The truth is steroids will shrink your testicles but it is not permanent and most non users think the side effects are permanent but its not
 
I wish you had included abcesses. Everyone has that one bad shot early on where they get scared they've got an abcess, I'd just like to know how many have actually had them.
 
backne, hairloss if you have the gene, water retention, higher blood pressure. My bp was around 140-90 for awhile. Had it tested 2 days ago and it's down to 123/73. Shriveled nuts. I guess that's about it. It's the things you can't see that are the most dangerous. Oh and I tore my pec from the insertion. Also abnormal sex drive or lack of sex drive if you use deca.

or a broken blood vessel, or when you have hit a nerve.

on my last cycle i had a bloody injection that resulted in days of pain on my glute. it really freaked me out that i might have had an abcess. went away to my relief, on its own.

yup, which is the reason doing bloodwork is so important. AAS use can significantly affect your BP, cholesterol, and liver enzymes.

i am a firm believer in time on=time off to let your body recover from a cycle. don't kid yourself that you are immune to these sides.

back acne - none on my face? thankfully. friends i havent seen in a few months asking if i;ve been shouting a lot or got a cold due to voice drop. really high sex drive which sucks cos my girlfriend lives in america. luckily we're in an open relationship so i can sort it out if i'm willing to put the effort in! increased aggression and lack of patience. mood swings and only wanting to fuck and workout so i cant be arsed with my job.

Lol rharman you go man, that is refreshing to hear, can you let me know how conservative you are with your cycle? i am looking to begin my very first cycle with deca and test or one of the above alone, what is your recomendation?.

*Blood test
*week 1-8 deca 300mg per week
*Week 1-8 test 250mg every week
*week 1-8 nolvadex 20mg every day
*week 1-8 tribulus terrestris 1000mg every day
TCP:
*HCG 1000U.I. one week after last injection, 500U.I. every mon-wed-frid for 4 weeks.
*Nolvadex one week after last injection 20mg every day for 8 weeks.
*Tribulius terrestris one week after last injection 1000mg every day for 8 weeks.
*Blood test.
 
ive never had bad effects from steriods, for 2yrs, and ive done even some very strong stuff... worst thing would be water retention.. no gyno, no hair loss, nothing, the only complaint i have from ever being on is! the worry that someday i could go steril from this shit, i do want a family, and for that fact i think this will be my last cycle for the next few years, accept var of courseHA, the cost sucks, and the quality i say that because ive gotten 2 injections infected in 2 years, not fun at all it takes about a week outa your training, they have to cut the shit out in the hospital, and you have to come up with a bull excuse on why you have a lump on your shoulder..."i ran into a nail"... haha but thats it..
 
The single greatest side effect that is not featured on your poll is insomnia. Yep, there is no greater side effect than that, for me anyway. Insomnia messes up every area of my life including my workouts. Some people require less sleep than others. God bless them. If I don't get enough sleep at night my whole day is completely shot. I feel like shit, I can't concentrate, I'm completely ineffective at work and I'm moody at home.

So, what does one do? Well, they take sleeping aids, valium, Xanax, GHB and get hooked on that. Then you have the wonderful experience of post cycle crash while you're trying to kick drugs at the same time. It's a very meaningful and painful experience that will bring you to the deeps of insanity and if you manage you pull through in one piece it will help you re-evalute your priorities in life.

As goes for my experience with Anabolic/Androgenic Steroids,... The only "sides" I have experienced that were lasting were developing gynocomastia in both breasts. Aside from that,... I have never had any other lasting or what you may call a somewhat "serious problem." Again, no problems with or attributed to AAS usage. Thankfully,... I also have been using gear on and off since I have been 20/21,...now 29 years old, and to note have done enough gear over the years to re-animate a corpse...(laughs..) responsibly though, as I believe I know/knew what I was doing from very early on thanks to guys I started out with under their tootleage who were on the pro level who took me under. Thanks fella's. Then again, you never can be too careful, and I'm still learning all the time, even though I may look like an expert on the outside.

Prostate mostly...some hair loss and bloating but proviron helps with the later. As for liver, that is one I never want to see. Hair I can deal with, broken liver...
