The SAUNA / Losing weight

Usually after my workouts, i go and sit in the sauna for about 30 min then leave. Does the sauna help you lose weight? Would the sauna be a good substitute if someone preferred sitting in the sauna as opposed to running?
 
Sitting in the sauna is nothing like running. I do it somtimes, it makes me feel good to sweat alittle. But no, sitting in the suana is not cardio. I wish, that would make things alot easier
 
Good for sweating out all the toxins as well.

I love getting in a steam room after a brutal workout,it opens up the spores,however the answer to the question is no you cannot loose weight using the sauna,all the water you loose is immediately replaced when you take that first sip of water or juice, the body has a way of regulating itself.

For somebody who HATES running, what other types of cardio would be just as good if not better?

Stationary Bike, or reg bike, Or take my challenge and see how well you really are in shape, Jumprope it will kick your ass.

Speedswimming gets things going also,stairclimbing works too

Actual cardio is all about raising your resting heart rate to begin burning fat. Sitting in the sauna will not do anything at all for actual weight loss asides from sweating out water weight.
 
walk on 15 incline for 45 minestes at 2.0-3.0
boring as hell but that seems to wk best for me.

Jesus christ....were you spying on me doing cardio? Thats exactly what I was going to say:p

I cant run cause I have shin splints. So other than stationary bike I find that to be a very effective way to get your heart rate bumpin.
 
Tired of cardio? ...Then do only 5min (5 min is just enought so it wont make you so bored you want to shoot youself in the head) on each machine, and do all machines at the gym one lap, or two... Im assuming they do have more machines then only one, more like 5... for example, rowing 5min, Treadmill 5min, Stairs 5min, Bike 5min... etc... After one another without any rest
 
ive been in martial arts all my life, trained with UFC karo parisyan before he became known in the UFC. We did sambo, judo, and jiu jitsu, alot of ground fighting, so i know how it is.
