msnbc had a great two hour national geographic special, holy war, inc. that attempted to explain what caused the attack on sept. 11th. definately check it out. out of the two hours of constant explanation, commentary, and analysis by some of the best historians, journalists, and professors the most intelligent and accurate statement was made by a former CIA operative who said:

"if you dont understand the last 1400 years of conflict leading up to sept 11th, you cant understand the attacks on sept 11th."

that is the fucking truth!

it was a national geographic explorer special called "holy war, inc." on msnbc on tv, not online. it was a very thorough documentary.
