The Newbie Post......

Lil' Guns

New member
Jeez,

I guess we all didn't have a brain full of knowledge when we popped out of the womb like you did.
I imagine you would like all the Newbies like myself to take a test or something before we "graduate" to another board?? I thought the whole purpose of a forum like this was the sharing of education and experience.
Were you once not a "Newbie"? I don't want to sound too out of line.....but remember where you came from pal.

once again youre right on................as for the newbie post, you guys need a place to start, and i wish it was there when i started posting here. with this sticky, you wont make a lot of the mistakes some of us did........;)

im not saying dont post, just post within the parameters and rules of the board.

EXACTLY!!! I'm suggesting the sticky post inorder to better educate the newbies. I read the board for about 9 months before I ever "joined", and I also searched the net for info on steriods. By using the "Newbie Post" most of that wouldn't have been necessary...too bad it wasn't around then!!! Trust me I'm trying to help out my fellow newbies, but I feel it's better for them to read the newbie post than to sit in front of their computer all day trying to figure out why nobody is replying to their post on "can you drink winstrol?"!!!

;)

All of the newbie questions have been covered and you will often see multiple posts for the same question on the board at once. Make it easy for everyone. It's sort of like a FAQ.

youre intentions are good, i hope they pay off, i feel too many are already taking offense though.............:D

peace.

I agree...but where do you draw the line?

Hey guys,

I agree, there are a lot of dumb questions that are asked, I'm sure I have a few of my own. The problem that I have with a newbie post is that I feel that one couldn't fully utilize the knowledge of all the experienced people on the board. Guys like 2thick have been nothing but helpful to me, and although I'm not new to using, this is the first opportunity that I've had to be as open about it. Normally you know one or two guys who are on as well and it's a matter of just shootin' the shit about it with them....most likely not a lot of useful info.
My biggest problem is "how much are the experienced guys going to care about what a new member says/asks"?, in my opinion, when you start to segregate, you lose a lot of valuable input. What may be Old Hat to someone else may be the difference between a positive experience and a negative one.
Once again, just my 0.02.
Cheers,
C.P.

As a fellow newbie is there a FAQ page? I have been lurking for a while trying to learn, and don't want to ask the "stupid questions". If there is not a FAQ (newbie page) maybe someone could put one up in their free time.

Just a sugestion

I agree.....a sticky post would be really helpful cuz even if you aren't completely new to AS, the information can be overwhelming at times.
