The Main Reason People Will Say "8 Mile" Sucks Is Because:

So rappers or rather emcees that sell millions are the most skilled and complex emcees? So going by that statement you made:

Mc Hammer is better that Rakim because Hammer sold more that 10 million where as Rakim dident get to over 2-3 million.

Vanilla Ice is better that Mos Def because Mos Def never gets multi platnum.

and so on and so on.

Its not about sales its about talent, if it was about sales then Nelly or Ja Rule would be the greatest rappers of all time.

You know what I hate. It is when poeple read something and then make up some stupid story to further their point. I said he sold a lot of records so he must have skills. I didn't say he was the most skilled or the best rapper or emcee. I never liked old school shit because I like something that sounds good on 12s and their flows are usually weak. Have you ever hear that old school song Drop by DJ Magic Mike or Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot on a system? That shit is tight. I liked Master P's old shit and Ludacris because if you ever listened to it on a system you would hear it 10 blocks away. I honestly like the beats more than any rapper and usually don't even care about what they are saying as long as it sounds good in my car. I like alot of different music from old school Slayer and Tool to Drowning Pool and Disturbed. So don't call me a wigger or a wanna be because I surely don't care what you think of me.

often there is absolutely no correlation between skills and records sold, especially these days

and just because there is an "explicit lyrics" label on the cover does not restrict the purchase of the album to those who are 18+... please don't be so naive

i still say that the majority of album buyers of m&m's total shit are under 18... anyone over 18 that thinks that shit is cool is really desperate...

oh and shaq said it was cool? damn, i guess i've been wrong this whole time... shaq's opinion is worth less than m&m's music

i bet you watch a lot of mtv

I never went to a Backstreet boys concert, but I'd bet that most of the people there were young little girls and boys (and you of course), but I have been to the Up In Smoke Tour (of which Eminem was a part of) and almost every person there was over 18.

I barely ever watch any MTV and I like Shaq. He is a 30 year old black man so where is your targeted demographic. Name one 30 year old, other than your self, who listen to those gay ass boy and girl groups.

Get your facts straight. How can you target little boys, unlike you probably do, if there is a label that says you must be over 18 to purchase this product. There are edited versions of his CDs for the kiddies but those are mostly harmless.

If he didn't have skills they how did Dre find him? Didn't he come in second place in a rap off in California. I swear people will say anything even if it is based on their own hatred for a person. Grow UP.

Why don't you go make an album and see who buys your shit.

That's weak. Keep on working at it and maybe I'll give you a little sticker that says GREAT JOB so you can put it on your lunch box.
