The Joe Rogan / Carlos Mencia Beef (Video)

I gained a bit more respect for Rogan after this.
Still like Mencia though just because of his delivery.

Dane Cook has been accused of stealing bits also.

there are soo many comedians out there, if you do ALOT of research I bet damn near everyone of them have bits that are about the same as someone else's
 
I hate both of them.

One's unoriginal, the other is always trying to prove his "manhood"

rogan's just trying to stand up (no pun intended) for comics out there that keep getting their shit stolen, and like he tells bobby lee int he video, comedians never say anythign ccause they're afraid of confrontation int he industry cause i guess it's a "who you know" type deal to climb tot he top and speaking out on someone can cost you a few rungs on the ladder.

He actually brings emotion to UFC, those other fucks are so old it's ridiculous....

Wow impressive. I knew that he had a pretty good grasp of the fighting world, but didn't figure he had any training. Trivial side not: he also does the song "voo doo punanny".

I've read Rogan has been released by his manager and banned from the Comedy Store over this. Perhaps he can be called a loudmouth. Perhaps he can be called a lousy comedian. It cannot be denied though that Rogan stood up for something he believed in and was willing to suffer the consequences.

As a side note Rogan is currently a brown belt in BJJ under Eddie Bravo.

BJJ.org which used to track many of the belt rankings has been taken over by onthemat.com and onthemat is slow in updating the ranking database, so I couldn't find him there.
 
I saw a Rogan show a few months ago, he burned the fuck out of a haggler, I mean steady for 5 minutes or more, just blasting his ass in like fast forward then had him thrown out while his girlfriend had to stay and watch... The crowd went KRAZI!!!
 
I don't like either of em. Joe Rogan is an arrogant asshole who need an asskicking. And Mencia is just another unoriginal POS comedian who blew someone or stabbed a lot of peeps in the back to get where he is.
 
I like Joe Rogan. He seems like the kind of cat that would be cool to hang with at a bar.

I love it cause every motherfucker without any original thought jumped on the Mencia bandwagon. I watched one episode and was astonished at how unoriginal and lame his jokes were. There the anything but edgy, interesting or thought provoking. He was saying things I had heard since highschool, lol.
 
Mencia is funny because of his delivery not his content. With that being said, he's a stealing little bitch, and deserved to be exposed.

Looks like Mencia isn't the only ones he's targeted. He's done this to Dane Cook, Denis Leary, and I think Hicks is another.

When it gets to be this many it kind of questions what he's saying and makes standup comedy as a whole look even worse.

I guess several comedians hate dane cook for similar events. can someone confirm cook has been a bit of a theft? is part of his success his look? the frat guy look?
 
Aries Spears is another he's targeted ... but deserving so.

Those Dane Cook bits were pretty close to Louis's. It opens your eyes a bit.

his delivery is fantastic; he does a better job of acting out his jokes than anybody i've seen

I mostly agree, the first couple episodes of his show that mostly went for fat jokes where funny, but it went downhill after he went more and more for the lame, overdone racist jokes.
