The Hammer Chronicles

How about one gigantic iron thread kind of like Zander and revexrevex? :) Is it a growing trend?

6/9/3
Incline Press 285 5X5*
Flat Press 280 2X10
Close Grip Press 205 3X2
* denotes PR

The inclines are improving. I almost felt stable today. Leg drive and all. Key word, almost :) The flat press turned out to be more like a speed bench. I just felt like going faster on the reps bc I haven't in a long while. It felt quick.

Tonight I will do abs with my roommate. :(

lol....I like the "I'M GETTING STRONGER" text flying up at the end...

these videos are getting pretty fancy, I might have to dust off my copy of After Effects and produce some of my own...lol

Thanx man. I definitely think you should :)

Excellent job.

They should really make the Training Journal forum non-plat so everyone can post journals there and nothing else.

I went for a PR of 205 but it went halfway up and stayed there. Triceps need to be hit more :)

It felt good to go for reps agaoin since it has been months since I have done so.

Strong bastard :) I LOVE your videos! They're getting better and better, also.

I also think you would've had 210+ if you hadn't drilled those lighter sets quite so hard, but you already know that :)

How do you like the reverse crushers? I've never done those.

Thanx for watching and commenting brother! Maybe you are right about the PR. I want to be able to be lift that 205 after the volume though!

I like the reverse skulls. They hit my triceps in a diff't spot than traditional skulls. They worked my grip (that needs major improvement).

Great video :D

Although you failed, you should've included the missed OHP. I learn most when I do things wrong, or miss a lift...

Very good point Zander.

I watched it once and thats all I had to see. I got it up half way and I fought it for 10 seconds. It just didn't move.

Time to strengthen the triceps a little more :)

Awesome videos!!! I save all of them to my computer. . .the thick bar looks brutal!

Thanx Loudin! The thick bar is fun as hell. 2.5 is perfect for me right now. I feel like I am using more of myself when I am lifting it.

I can't wait for bent over bar rows and static holds with it Wednesday:)

Wow you make that weight look easy. I always enjoy the soundtracks as well :)

I appreciate it brother!

ANOUNCEMENT!

My videos = "SAVE TARGET AS".
My web site is temporarily down due to exceeded bandwith. "SAVE TARGET AS".
"SAVE TARGET AS" any and all vids that I post.

Thank you. I enjoy making them so we all can learn a little and have fun but not at this cost of frustration.

Once you start using thick bars, it feels like a whole new lifting world is opened up doesn't it?:)

Yes sir. I felt like I had recruited another couple muscles for every lift. It was awesome. I know I will get stronger with the use of them. I also know that the traditional oly bar is gonna' feel like a toothpick too! :)

Did you get a chance to see a vid yet Thaibox?

:( No, but I'll be going back to my place in AZ in a few days, where there is a better comp. I'll see them soon.

Polish,

How many years have you been training and whats your background with athletics??

Were you a former basketball player??

Been training since I was 15. Played all sports growing up. Ruined a scholarship as a Quarterback so i had to turn to basketball. Got a hoop scholarship and played through college, played in europe as a pro and here I am retired @ 26.

Ive seen the world and learned from it. I have so much to learn its not even funny. Now I am starting my second career, "the iron". Now that I don't play ball anymore my body can fill out. My goal is 300 lbs by 30. I know I can get it. It all starts at the buffet. :)

So you still working these days normally?

or you rich enough from your PRO BBall days? :)

Where did you get the thick bar from?

I am a grad student now and I will be a phys ed teacher in 2 semesters. :)

I got the thick bar from my friend T3C.

Awesome!!!

I think you can make a great coach someday!! Imagine that. . teaching physical education and coaching athletics.

So is that what they called you when you played bball in Europe?

"The Polish Hammer" - for your ability to shatter the backboard with those thunder dunks? :)

lolololol no no no. I made that user handle up bc of a couple diff't reasons. When I was over there they called me a bunch of diff't things. Usually it was not too kind when playing in opposing arenas :)

Thanx for the kind words man.

I played college @ Nassau Community College & Univ of Bridgeport.

I loved weight training and since I could only really gain during summers, that is what sparked me. I would lift and eat as much as possible. On an avg summer I would gain 15-20 lbs. It would almost all be gone by seasons end. I somehow would keep about 3-5lbs. They have been adding up ever since. :)

You better be ready!!! I figure I will complinet you once on the hard work all the other times I will trash you to make you better :) Now go to the buffet eat and grow...

Damn man you are just sick. Nice PR on the ripped boxers :) I recently threw away my first pair of boxers that became too small for my leg.

It's been awhile since I've seen it, but didn't Ronnie Coleman do 135 barbell lunges in his movie?

lol thanx man. Actually these are the second pair I have ripped in the last three months. Somebodys ass is getting too big.

Yes Big Ronnie doesn the lunges in the parking lot. I did the same in my driveway. :)

:)

solid workout

i have to get one of those thick bars (and some 100 pound plates)!! i wish i could do lunges, cant seem to get them right.

Just read this thread (had to do a search =p) trying to get an idea of how you trained PH, you look in great shape in the photos i saw of you and was wondering how you were training. By what you say, you eat a whole lot, but I see no fat on you, good work.

I am really determined to start a new push to gaining and was looking for ideas, you seem to do a variety of reps and sets and obviously it's working.

I appreciate the sentiment brother. I eat as much whole foods as possbile. What my goals are at the time usually dictate what I can and can not eat.

My lifting style is basic heavy. It's the only way I grow.
