The Girl Talk introductions thread.

It's refreshing to be in a place where women are supportive of one another-- it seems like in our every day lives we sometimes feel like we're competing or something instead of encouraging one another be being inspired by the progress of others.

I can relate to the "you're so skinny" deal. What's funny is that I don't weigh that much less than I did in high school but I'm 4 sizes smaller. Lean mass is like magic. ;)

Do you lift weights at all, or are you doing only cardio? Or do you even work out at all? Your picture looks great. I am getting married sometime soon, and want so badly to get back into shape for it, and just for the healthy lifestyle. But I am getting out of a deep depression currently and searching for the ambition again to get going... I just need some sort of emotional help. My fiance does body building and is a member on this site... he said I might find some sort of emotional support (female wise) here. Since I don't really have girlfriends, since I don't hang out with anyone other than him. ;) Any advice, words of wisdom or anything anyone can give me that would be great!

Honey, I hear ya! It's hard to get going again. My bf was my workout partner/trainer :) He was my motivation to get healthier. The gals here are so good with information and support when you need it...where are ya from? Do ya work out now?

I am in Utah, and I try to work out.. It is just that I don't have a car and it is hard for me to get to the places I need to go to do weights. And cardio in the morning, my fiance is supposed to come over and wake me up and we go running or something. But we really like to just lay there till we have to get up and cuddle... so I try I really do.. especially since he and his best friend are big work out people. But it is so hard! And I don't know what to do! I am trying so hard too! Arg I dunno what to do! I need help in anyway shape or form, arg!

Cardio? Now why would I do a silly thing like that? lol No, I do a little but I'm not going to lie and say I do much. I do some HIIT for 20 minutes a couple of time a week but otherwise I just lift.

My sister just graduated from college in May. She was a college swimmer for her whole college career. For about half the year she was doing close to 40 hours of cardio a week for 4 years. And her fat % was still quite high. She didn't want to lift...didn't think it would work. She attributed my body to being a "bitch". lol She didn't get that I was eating right and training. Now she's been eating clean, doing a little HIIT, and lifting 4 days a week...and has dropped 4 sizes in the last 2 months. She can't believe it.

I'm REALLY excited for my current course to be over because she and I are going to start training together 4 days a week. It should be really cool and motivating to do that. Plus she is still learning!

hey ladies!

i am brand new, but have lurked for an eternity because i was so intimidated. but it's all good now because we have a little sanctuary here, free from the wolves outside :)

i just thought i should introduce myself before i dare impose my thoughts and such ramblings on you all. so, to be brief, i'm 21 and love health and fitness, mainly cardio, my university studies, shoes, stilettos, and slingbacks, fashion, and books, and sushi ;)

so...um, hey!
