The Easiest Way To Get Rich Marry Rich

I dated an extremely rich woman for a few years when I was in the Army - she was from what I *think* at the time was the richest family in Louisiana. Regardless they are very prominent. i met her in Savannah, GA.

It was fun - when my friends took their girlfriends out to a nice place in Atlanta, I went to Key West. When they had weekend get aways in Panama City, I went to her place outside of New Orleans.

While they were initally less than thrilled, over time her family didn't object much - instead they made sure that I was exposed to all of the things they had grown up with - private clubs etc.

Our relationship fizzled when she decided she wanted to go to Asia for 6 months. She asked me to go but I could not because of military life. She then offered to write a check for me to get out of it. (The Army has a program for officers where you can actually pay back what you received in training and get out), but I declined. I was 22.

I'm dong great now - they'd love to have me. And she's still single. Hmmm....

You're right on Curling. It;s great way to go if you can.

It IS on topic. Jesus is everywhere, right?

Curling, you have to help us sinners out. What Would Jesus Do?

Would Jesus marry for money? I assume so since you've got an in with the guy and you're suggesting that it's a good idea. I'll put it in my sig if you want me to; "Curling: Jesus would marry for money"

Deal?

Ok now you and havoc have both taken this post out of context. You shouldn't just marry for money. That would be wrong. Even though it has been done through history. You should LOVE the person. But what I am saying is why not hang out with rich women instead of poor women so your chances of falling in love with a rich woman is better than falling in love with a poor woman. That is all I am saying.

Dang, some of ya'll ruin all my thread ideas. It gets old sometime. Can't you just question without analyzing every dang thing. Sheesh you bunch of anal retentive suckers.

Thank you matt for just answering the question instead of judging me like all these other suckers do and I don't even think most of them are believers. What a crock.

Anyway, did you love the chick? And do you ever regret not taking her up on her offer?

Ok, now you got me curious why? I mean I had to work pretty dang hard for 15 years to make a decent living. Why not go for the Jefferson Darcy(whatever that means) deal and be set. Don't you know how to have fun with money? If not, I do consulting to the rich to show them how to enjoy their money if you need to help.

The Jefferson Darcy comment is about a character on the syndicated television comedy Married with Children. Basically, his wife makes the living and he looks good in return. Basically, he's a himbo.

Why would I turn down a lifestyle where I didn't have to work and had everything paid for? I'm fiercely independent and relying on someone to take care of you takes away your independence. I'm so independent that I can't even live with a woman without being miserable. My ex built a 300k house and put in a 30k swimming pool and hot tub. The house is amazing, 300k goes a VERY LONG way here, and when we lived together I was absolutely miserable because I didn't have my own space. She worked 10+ hour days and spent two hours at the gym five days a week and I still had a problem with it. She actually thought the problem she wasn't home enough, regardless of what I told her. Before I moved in with her we spent five nights a week together and our relationship was great.

Another reason is that wealth accumulation isn't a priority in my life. Don't get me wrong, I make a good living and I need to maintain a certain lifestyle but it isn't one of wealth, not that I would turn down a massive monetary gift. I'm not big on travelling or vacations and I'm good looking enough to not have to rely on money for my "game" with women. Finally, it would really mess with my self-esteem.

Was he the next door neighbor?

. I'm not big on travelling or vacations

Really? Where have you traveled? I hink you could benefit from my showing rich people how to enjoy their money consulting service. What about sport cars and custom motorcycles? Are you in to those?

Why not use all of your hard work for BIG financial GAINS!

I mean find a rich chick and then marry her.

You go, "curling I don't want to have to kiss anybody's butt for money. " Well, dude you don't live in the real world.

Just court rich chicks and use your muscles and looks to be ticket to a new killer life.

Explain to me how that's not hypocritical?

(note, I haven't altered one single word of curling's posts. it's all in his own words)

Yep, next door neighbor.

I've been to;

Half the states in the US
Canada(just Windsor on the US border)
Mexico
Honduras
Netherlands
Germany
Greece
Saudi Arabia
Kuwait
Iraq

I'm not a car guy, I drive a German import but not into high performance sports cars or bikes. Honestly, my hobbies are bodybuilding and miniatures, I have over 20k in toy soldiers. I don't even own a house and have no desire to ever own one.
