The dumbass workouts some crazy people do in the gym.

This thread delivers. Crazy people at the gym definately add character.
 
New Years Day was a classic way to start 2007... Big, over 40-ish guy -- has the gut but not sloppy fat. Acts like a retired football player. Except .... every time I look at him, he's doing something that is so fundamentally wrong I'm amazed he didn't pull something. First he's at the squat cage w/ the bar & 25's doign the hip-thrust BB curls... Apparently its good for your hamstrings?

Then he's in front of the rack w/ something like 40's in his hands but he's doing like this sort of cross-jab/ upright oblique crunches or maybe it was more like the way little kids pretend they are Rocky (the little jabs and run in place but bent over)... not really sure on this one, but I could see a nice pull coming from that.

The funniest part of it was you know how you just sort of walk around & scan the gym between sets... every freekin' time I'd see this guy doing something that just didn't look right and have to stop and attempt to figure out wtf. And then one of my buddies caught the look on my face and just burst out laughing... He didn't even have to turn around to see what exactly I made the face for.
 
this one guy always comes in the gym and as soon as he gets in he puts three wheels on the bar and does quarter squats with horrible form (heals lift off ground).
today was the best all the squat racks were being used by quarter squaters.
