sometimes it takes something severe to happen to realize how good/lolable/quality someone was.
diggs had the authority down, but he was able to balance it with a touch of humor and wit
lol he would always red me and leave funny messages, nothing insulting, always little tidbits of info to make me a better poster...now i didn't always listen, and most of the time i redded right back, but in retrospect his meaning is crystal clear.
i wish he woulda posted more than he did, i never really got a feel for his character, outside witty k messages and the occasional pm
share some good diggs stories

I know you two had your differences but he was a fair man doing a tough job..IMO.
 
dude was sick as hell, facing things none of have, and still did his job better than just bout anyone...
Integrity, character, whatever u wanna call it.. he lived his life by example I would think... anyway, good thread.

i've always disliked authority figures but diggs had my respect
i felt ashamed when he called me out, like when you fug up in sports and your coach yells at you

He was a class act...I feel for George trying to fill his shoes. Digger was a smart bro with a lot of insight and made his decisions based on his insight. We've lost some good guys over the years but this was a shock, at least to me, he was e-family to me.
 
I hope his family reads all these threads so they can appreciate how much he was appreciated. It says a lot when people who have never actually met someone speak so highly of them.
 
Digger was a man for the people,there never will be ANYONE who can fill his shoes,he was my Mentor,Best Friend,most of all he was himself,that's all it took to be Digger(AKA Wayne)His gripes or ability to quell a situation was always to the point,We were close to the same age ,that bothers me when something like this strikes so close to home.There will never be a finer person then my Friend Digger....this will be my last comment! Rest in peace my Friend I will miss you.

Ive been known to kinda walk a fine line here on elite. When some mod would be pushing for my banishment, Digger would always send me a PM and actually talk to me like an adult human being and settle things down. At least, thats what he would say hes doing lol.

Fucked up thing is we last traded PMs literally 6 days ago about the title of one of my threads. Just asked me to do him a favor going forward.

He was a good man.

i loved digger personality .. maybe its because i waznt on his bad side ..but the way he would come police threads and post with sarcastic humor in them .. used to have me on the floor rolling laughing, i would always run to read any of his posts .. i can honestly say i will miss having him around a great deal ..RIP digger, may u be in a better place good bro
 
Digger had banning me,lesat,and wootoom as his perfect evening in his profile. Had that there for years. I know he never meant it. It was just his way of giving shit back to the 3 of us.

I learned a lot from digger.

He didn't care for me at all as well. I tried a few times to reach out, but we had some differences that were never fully resolved. In the scheme of things they are absolutely trivial (they had to do with post counts). Many times people here make things that are totally trivial into a bigger issue than they are, usually because of ego (or just having a bad day).
 
lol.. there were definitely a few of you that he didn't like, but given the fact that he wasn't here as a member, some of you take pleasure in bucking the system and that bothered him (rightfully so).

here's a story about digger.
There was a time (for a long time) that bmom and i did NOT get along. I gave her a hard time and admittedly didn't think highly of her. i actually didn't like her at ALL.
Digger pm'd me, when he didn't have to, and told me about how it was bikinimom that he spoke about when he had to talk to some officials about Elitefitness and what purpose the site has. He said how EF was her sounding board through a difficult time and how it is that way for a lot of others. Then he asked that I cut her some slack and at least try to get along.

I didn't want to, but I did it because digger asked me to, and he rarely asked me for anything.

What I didn't know was, he also talked to bmom about me, and asked her the same. We've since worked things out, obviously, and i'm now proud to call her a good e-friend.

Somehow, digger managed to pull off the impossible. He did it without anyone losing an ounce of dignity or integrity, and he did it because he respected both of us.
You know it's made EF a nicer place too. maybe not so drama-filled, but certainly classier.

that was him.

I remember that story Stiletto. He told me that he had only shared that story w/you and me. He said that he truly felt that if not for my story and his telling the federalees about it, EF most certainly would have been shut down. He only told me about it years after the fact and you don't know how that made all the pain I suffered here ALL WORTH IT because I feel in some minute, teeny-weeny way, the site is still here and helping countless people because of me so yea, all the hurt and suffering for me personally WAS WELL WORTH IT!!!

Very true about us "not liking one another" was putting it mildly. Funny though, when digger asked us to try to get along, we realized that the other e-person wasn't who we thought after all and then we didn't "feel the need" to hate the other so much. LOL <--- THAT has definitely happened to me with GOBS of members. :)

I believe his exact words to me were "I just wish that my two favorite people on EF could find a way to get along."

I didn't want to do it either, LOL but I did because he had always been very protective of me and exceedingly fair and never asked me for anything.

... and I am glad he did.

Then there was a coupla times he e-hit me on the nose with a rolled up newspaper! Hhehehehee I distinctly remember the time he TOLD me to put Spartucus (then Foreverhung) on ignore. I asked him defiantly, "And if I don't? I don't NEED to put someone on ignore in order to ignore them you know!"

His exact words were, "NO ONE who has defied a direct request from me has EVER remained a member."

Funny part about that is under two years later Spartacus was a guest in my home!

Digger will always be remembered. No one will ever be able to fill his shoes... EVER.
 
I had the pleasure of knowing him a bit va Email and work for some of my stuff

"Angelic" is the word, Digger was Angelic to me.

I didn't really know him as well as most of you did. I did enjoy his whit and dry humor. He had a way of one upping everyone who I seen defy him in here. Very very witty guy. I PMd him to help me out with something a few days ago and it struck me as odd that he never responded. Then I logged on and read George's post. Very sad, but I know he is better off not having to suffer. My condolences to his wife and family. EF will not be the same without him.
