The main thing that I think a lot of you are forgetting is that even though they aren't really related, all of these UGL busts are happening in response to political pressure stemming from the Benoit murder/suicide case. I mean, for days and weeks after that happened, all you ever saw on Nancy Grace or any other CNN program was some politician blasting steroid use or steroids in general. Sure, this DEA probe has been going on for years, and was bound to materialize into busts and arrests whether the Benoit thing happened or not. But, when it did happen, tons of pressure was put on the government to "clean up" the use and abuse problem of illegal steroids. First, the obvious happened. Benoit's doctor was indicted, along with numerous
others. And now this. It's no coincidence. Anytime someone, especially someone famous, kills his wife and little boy, then commits suicide; and it is blamed on an illegal substance, you can bet the farm that there is going to be a crackdown on whatever illegal substance it was. Lets face it. The average American who knows little or nothing about AAS is looking at that case and going..."Oh my God! Those steroids made that man kill his family!" And beleive me, the majority of the American public thinks that. And there are other things that come into play as well. Such as the fact that China is hosting the 2008 Olympic games. This, more than likely, gave the US government a lot of leverage in getting the Chinese government to cooperate with the probe. Which, without their cooperation, would have been impossible. Which brings us to now. Even though people are going to hear about these recent busts, it isn't enough to make the average American feel satisfied that enough has been done about "the problem". So, I would imagine that this is just the tip of the iceberg. That there are going to be more happenings of the same sort, and not just dealing with UGL's. AAS and the means of being able to acquire them in general, whether legally or illegally
is going to suffer substantial setbacks. But then again, this will only be temporary. It happened with alcohol prohibition in the 20's, with LSD in the 60's, cocaine and crack in the 80's, ecxtacy in the early 00's, and more recently with methamphetamine. But it always blows over or something
bigger and more important comes along and takes it's place. This though, is in no way a nationwide epidemic like all of those were. It has merely been brought into the public eye and raised above average concern due to recent events. Not to mention that from what I have seen, it looks like
pretty much everyone who got popped was openly advertising on the internet. They made their own beds, and now they have to lay in them. I mean come on, how long do you think you can last doing that sort
of thing? The feds can figure out and track an IP address quicker than you or I can send a Western Union payment. Especially a domestic one. Unless you know what you are doing as far as computer networking is concerned, you aren't going to know how to keep that from happening. All I am saying is that anyone who has been dealing with this stuff on a large enough scale and hasn't been "smart" about it, is going to know it soon. The average guy who simply uses AAS isn't going to feel a thing. If you've been ordering $10,000.00 a month on the other hand, I would definitely clean house. But in reality, if you want AAS, you will always be able to get them. You just might have to look a little harder, and be a bit more careful than before.
