I had a gay guy yell at me for saying "That's so gay" once. Of, course he was gay. I was completely baffled that someone would be offended by that expression.
I have never used that phrase to be offensive to gays, and it isn't even taken that way by anyone who is straight, and lots of gays too.
I asked a gay friend if it offends him, and he was like "WTF? No, why would I be offended at that?"
