My cousin finally found someone and sent across the Amplify02 and i picked it up the day before. But obviously, it is the older version as he ordered it and received it a couple of months back....
Nevertheless, i was very happy on receiving the package after having heard and read so much on it...
I'm on a longish cycle right now and have put on 30lbs so far and am' into my 16th week doing a 20 weeker. Strength gains have been steady and progress has been very good without injuries, thank God, knock on wood....
I was actually apprehensive in using / trying out the Amp02 mid cycle as the pumps as it is are tough to manage lol, but temptation got the better of me and i decided to try it.
So today was traps / shoulders day. I took 5 caps to assess my tolerance and not go overboard directly. Took it an hour before workouts along with a little fruit and loads of water. An hour later and i'm working out the traps doing shrugs. Nothing in particular and the 3 sets go on well without anything majorly noticable. So i'm thinking to myself that the effects are prolly subtle or maybe i need another cap or two...
Hmmm...i proceed to do shoulders. HOLY SWEET JESUS HOLY CHRIST!!!!
Lateral raises. Warm ups over. Main set 45 kgs. As always, concentric failure at prolly the 10th or 11th rep. Feels light today. Regular soreness absent. So i treat this set as another warm up set and pin the weights to 49 kgs. Light again! So i stop at the 6th rep and say to myself - up the weights. 55kgs. Hmm decent poundage. Feeling it. But on reaching the 12th rep i feel i can go on for another 7 or 8. So i again say, go up. 59kgs - 12 reps - HOLY WOW!!
So i take this as my first main set and do 4 sets. reps? 12 / 12 / 10 / 10
And i can't believe it because i should be tired and fagged, but no.
Let me try and explain how i really felt. It was as though every fiber of my being was involuntarily twitching with uncontrollable energy and i was chewing the gum with strange vengance lol. My recovery between sets was faster. I AM' on roids you know and here my feeling today was - MY TEST E & EQ @ 600mgs both, WERE ON JUICE!! HAHAHA LOL! Does that make any sense to any one? ROIDS ON JUICE??
Ok, so i move on to the shoulder presses and my personal best so far has been 82 kgs. 12 reps. And i literally beg the trainer / spotter every shoulder day, to give me streches through out, in between sets as i'm sore as fcuk. Today though, things were a little different. Here's how....
Warm ups over. Main set. 82 kgs. I stop at the 7th rep as i feel like its light. Push the pin down to 94. 10 reps. Light. Move on to 99kgs. 7 reps. Light. Holy Jesus! Move on to a 109 straight. First main set. 12 reps. Spotter's AMAZED as fcuk. DO 4 sets. 12 / 12 / 9 / 10. Workout over. Feel like i can go on and on. But i knew better and literally DRAGGED my ass out of the gym.
Dont want to say anything else. One of the best and wisest decisions / investments i've ever made. But i have to admit....the Amp02 is bloody dangerous. It can boost your performance / strength and energy levels to levels unimaginable and if you arn't ready for it, you can hurt or injure yourself.
My humble .02 to bros who are yet to try the Amp02. Be aware that this product undoubtedly is SIMPLY THE BEST PRE WORKOUT SUPPLEMENT THERE IS!! SERIOUSLY.
