Test questions.

Hello,

first time post, want to say hello plus get a general opinion from some experts ;)

Bit of background. I have been weight training for 1 year now and have seen not bad results... feel better, getting stronger, etc. I also use a personal trainer.
I am 40 yr old. I currently weigh 178lbs. I work as hard as I can, 5 days per week. Heaviest I can lift 6 to 10 reps...
Mon- back, Tues- Chest, Wed- Legs, Thur arms&shoulders, Fri- Mixed.
My diet I have been following : 2500 - 3000 calories, 58g fat, 230g- 350g carbs, 295g protein.

I have done a lot of reading on safety and differences in tests and other steroids. Basically looking for experiences, as a never before user.

I was thinking Test prop 50mg - 100mg every other day
Aromasin also

I don't know why I think I have settled on this product other than it seams like it has less risk of negative side effects, compared to oral stuff like D-Bol...

am I on the right track? questions? thoughts?

note I am cutting right now (2500 calories, less carbs, more cardio).

Test P and Aromasin is a good cycle. Just make sure you have your pct in order.

If you were to run Test E, I would throw in a fast oral (dbol, var, etc.) to get things started quicker.

What's your PCT look like? Any HCG usage?

How tall are you?

Here are my concerns. Your 40 years old and have been training for a year. That means you have not built up any significant bone density and tendon/ligament strength and that is further compounded by your age and the effect that will have on recovery.

Personally, just like a young guy new to the game, you really should have a few years training under your belt before you start AAS and this is especially true for the older crowd because we (im mid 40's mind you) dont heal and recover nearly as fast as them wipper snappers.

I am 5'10" ... I also trained in karate for 6 years and was very fit (lots of Cardio in Karate) but have been off that for 5 years now...

My trainer is pure natural for 20+ years and I am not sure how to even talk to him about it... I know he considers it "cheating".

I will consider the short time i have spent training so far, thanks Zyglamail, either way I am not going to quit. Just feeling impatient! ;)

Well, im 5'10-5'11" depending on who measures my height. I was 180lbs when I started lifting over 27 years ago. within 2-3 years I was 225 low teens bodyfat all natural, crappy poor mans diet, too much partying etc. If I only knew then what I know now. I didnt touch gear until early 30's and played with AAS for a few years. Now in my mid 40's (255lbs ~16%bf) Im actually almost as big as I was at the peak of my cycling 12 years earlier. Not quite as strong but in a lot better shape with much better mobility and endurance.

Honestly once you break 40, unless your a competitor I really dont see the need to cycle AAS. Just get on a decent dose of test for TRT and work toward nice slow steady gains. Cycling is just too hard on our old systems and trying to bounce back after a cycle just sucks.

Id start by getting labs done to see where your test level is at and then look for a TRT doc and see what you can get. A decent high normal test level will allow you nice slow steady growth that shouldnt tax your recovery ability too much.

+1,000...178 @ 5'10 = no base = no juice

It's all well and good hitting the weights as hard as you can week in week out but that takes a tole on your body. And your not a teen any more. I would suggest taking an extra day off. If your looking for size that extra day of rest has worked great for me.. allows me to eat more, eat clean and get excited about going to the gym the next day.. 4 days a week is still enough for me to hit everything hard and give a full week to recover bit with the added day for more food and a few naps when I'm not studying..

This is all just my opinion

I appreciate all the honesty here, frankly I was not sure what I would get but these responses are making a tonne of sense to me. I am going to hold off and maybe go to a TRT doc, but in the meantime... today was great. I felt very strong and lifted more than I thought I could, I am pretty pleased overall. Cheers
