tell me about montreal

Super Sex sucks. at least from what I recall.
I just got back from Toronto with my girlfriend (IslandGirl on the board here) and it was pretty cool, only been once before and just by chance it was when the Indy was going on, as it was this weekend as well - freaky.
I've been to Montreal 4 times, went every year with the XC team in college, we'd race there and then go out and drink ourselves unconscious. they have breatalyzers in the Burger Kings and we'd go there and test ourselves and then go back out and drink more - then we'd go test again, one of my friends used it and it went off the scale, the next guy used it and it broke. then one of them passed out and we got kicked/dragged out.
I think I recall a place called Chez Paris - but I have a feeling supergirl isn't interested in that.
The only club that I remember is club Mercedes and I don't know if it was any good, but I did lose my license on the the dance floor there and I know women drink free... or at least did the night I was last there.
there is one main drag that if you walk down it (it goes along the huge hill) you will see all sorts of trashy shit and cheap porn shops and video arcades - but then all of the streets that branch up off of it have the good resteraunts and clubs.
at one end of it is a good architecture museum that is nice during the day - then at the other end of it are the clubs and hotels.
if you go up the hill, then you get good clubs, if you go down the hill, then you get either strip clubs or sleazier hotels (and the youth hostel we stayed at).
the best bar I went to was the beer museum, but again, that could be a guy thing. it was laid back with all kinds of leather furniture and every beer you could ever imagine.
there is also some 50's style diner that has good food for once you are really drunk. I went there and tried to use my french to order fries, but since I was wasted I instead told the waitress I had a long pencil and wondered if she had a sharpener... and then I promptly passed out and face planted intot he table.
if I recall correctly, I was then escorted home.

the name of the club is 'chez Parée'(on Stanley' street) not chez Paris...i live 45 minutes from Montréal...by the way the club 'Super Sex (St-Catherine street)is very good'. For women i would suggest the '281' club on St-Catherine street....if you can get in..its a women only club(if you know what i mean..)people are waiting in line outside to get in..no men allowed inside!!! Except the nude dancers on the stage...women go crazy in this place!!

I grew up in Montreal. I went back in Feb on business and went with friends to eat smoke meat at Schwartz's and then we went to the Strip Club.
Now you guys still living in Montreal help me out.
The Strip Club I went to is on St Jacques right by NDG. I have been there a million times over the years and I forget the name. There is a restaurant upstairs.So help me out here guys. I was trying to reccomend this club to a friend.
Had this beautiful Cuban Girl dance for me for a half hour, cost me $60. In Toronto I would have paid about 3 times as much with some half as good looking chick.
Thats the difference between Montreal and Toronto area stripclubs.
Toronto=$20 a dance with so-so looking
Montreal=$10 a dance with hotties
Guess who makes more? The Montreal strippers.

SuperGirl: the Black and Blue rave is the first sunday of september, it begins at 10 pm till noon on monday.... it usually costs about 75$ CND to get in. Honestly it doesnt worth the price but if your really into the techno-house circuit well just go at The Sona, The Stereo (they even serve alcool till 3) or Aria rave Club they open from 11 PM to 10 AM.. also on St-Lawrence street you'll find lot of pretty good clubs: Tokyo, Central Station, Living, Kokino.... they open from 10 to 3 and most of them have terrace. I assume that you're girl so I wont waste my time talking about strippers.... Another advice, dont go in the Crescent street area. Lots of tourists do the same mistake cause this place is pretty expensive and honeslty it sucks..... all their clubs look the same.
By the way Milhouse the strip club you were talking about is the Amazon right ?

st lawrence is the place for Everything...awesome view and just a great atmosphere for partying and drinking yourself silly.supergirl,compared to the states you will find the places "cheaper" in price...as far as alcohol and food...let us know if you're coming and we can make a night out of it!!!fyi
