What the heck is the stuff? I know it's for stabilizing cardiac rythms, but is taurine something that you can get OTC, or just buys heart vits.?

My step-grandmother has got boat loads of Asthma medications (and I think we all know what we use them for) and she takes prescript. heart meds. for heart rythm.

She says she hates precrip. prices of her drugs, I said maybe I can help you out. hehe.

Na she's cool and knows that I bodybuild with juicy juice. She's awesome.

She's actually game me tips for injecting and some other pointers.:D

Taurine is one of the non-essential amino acids made in the human body; just like any other amino acid, it's a "building block" for protein.
It's main use is that it's a key component of bile acid metabolism, and vital for the proper utilization of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Any imbalance in these electrolytes CAN result in cardiac dysrythmias, but I sure as heck wouldn't take my grandmother off her prescription meds and put her on taurine. There seems to be sporadic stuff on the 'net about supplementing with taurine, but not a lot, and most of it is from questionable "alternative" health sites.

I'd have her check with her doc and pharmacist to see if maybe there's a generic version of the prescription she's taking; generic versions are a lot cheaper than name-brand drugs.

thanks, and I didn't mean about taking her off taurine, I meant about the Asthma meds. She pays a boat load of money for them things. Liquid inhale, powder, pills, everything. It's due to her prior smoking.

Two words..... DON'T SMOKE!, ganja is alright though
