For those of you who have an already lean physique, and wish to put those "final" touches on yourself before pics/show/special weekend event, this article is for you!

http://www.testosterone.net/nation_articles/266seven.jsp

This has been cleared to post, so I really don't wish to see Nelson or Variation in here spewing out hatred bullshit as is the norm for these two idiots. Maybe ya'll should get together and do lunch........

Don't let a few bad apples ruin the entire bag.

1 Luv "BROTHERS"............(that's just for you, u know who u are!)

cool.......

bros, it works really........and you can e-mail me for specific questions if you need to, FREE, I am willing to help. U can look like a million bucks doing this final week prep!! I guarantee it!

Sorry about the portion of my post addressing two other people, but hell, I'm damn near crippled as of now and all I get is hate. That is just downright wrong.

That has to stop somewhere, que no??? Damn, how cold hearted can one be?

~SC~

If I ever made such a baltent dispay of self promotion I'd get my head ripped off.

But hey, more power to you SC. I have nothing against you making a few bucks. I also see that you're attmepting to make a connection with the board members. Terrific. There's room for everybody. We may not agree and I'd be willing to discuss and debate any issue you wish.

But I never said anything against you personally, yet I see you've begun the "name calling."

Before I just thought you were just a spammer. Now I see you can be an asshole too.

I like the article...nice and clean - easy to understand. Can't argue w/ results, that's for sure.

From my own experience - working with numerous bodybuilders - I have learned that the pre-contest time is crucial; thus, I always suggest one-one support for at least 4 weeks to the contest date. A few bb I know didn't follow that advice and ended up throwing their 12 weeks of dieting out the window...of course, it varies for everyone.

I don't have any direct relation to SC, but I can say from personal experience that his programs are great. :D

Those statements above are quite contradictory! First you hint towards supporting my career (like I need your approval, I don't, newsflash) then you call me an asshole. As far as Spam, well, when you have people on your programs who are succeeding left and right, 24-7, without fail, and they wish to write all about it, there ain't nothing much I can do about it. Will I respond to them and congatulate them? You're damn right I will water boy.

Well, I think the entire board as well as Mr. X (who is FAR more respected than you are) know who the asshole is. You stated in the other thread you may be on your period, and judging by your cold-hearted nature, I'd say that is quite accurate.

You'd be wise to just raise up outta my kool aid bruh, you have no idea what the flavor is. Yeah, that's more "jive" for you to decipher. I'm off to get my knees fixed, you should look into getting your head fixed, and getting some tact and compassion instilled into that empty, struggling writer melon of yours.

Just what I've heard "round the block" as you've heard about me!

Have a nice day homeboy! :)

Point one: Spam is unsolicited self promotion -- which you do a LOT of. But that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is your smarmy passive/aggressive tactics.
You throw the members a bone by posting an article (which incidentally is more self promotion) and then you insult me in the process. That's what makes me think you're an asshole. It's one thing to contribute to the board while advertising your product. But when each post is LOOK AT ME! I don't know, I think that's a little obnoxious.

You also play the uncious "brotherhood" angle and just to top it off, you play the sympathy angle. I must admit, you're pretty slick.

Personally I would have loved to debate you, in an effort to open up some ideas. But it looks like we just got off on the wrong foot.

"Rise up out of the kool aid and know your flavor?" >Groan< Okay, now I know what I'm dealing with.

guys check the sticky at the top of the page. both of you are well respected guys within this community, it makes you both look silly to have a pissing contest on every thread. lets keep the discussion civil and maybe you guys can help us to learn more, thats why we are all here isn't it?

I get the LOOK AT ME statement by Nelson. Just think, if you wanted advice who would you ask on the board? I don't know enough about SC cause he doesn't really post on here.

I couldn't agree more. We can all benefit from both of you guys, but when the name calling and bitching comes out we all lose. You just both concede that you have the best interest of helping others while earning a buck or two along the way. You may not agree with each other on some things, but there is plenty of room for each of your opinions w/o being condenscending to one another. No one benefits by you two arguing and it makes you look chidish. I look forward to reading Nelson's books and after talking to Juice Gorilla, I was on the verge of getting dome help from SC. I will be doing neither in the future if it continues the way that it is, and I'm sure others feel the same way. PM each other and make up or something. You are both too respected to act this way!

SC,

I was thinking about trying the "7 days to leanness" because I am going to Cozumel in about a week. My only concern is how much I will baloon up on days 8-13 that I will be on my vacation, but off of my diet. I don't want to come into Cozumel looking really lean but swole up like a blowfish the 2nd or 3rd day of my vacation. Should I just skip the diet for now? Thanks for the help.

I have a question for you SC.
I have read the T-Mag article and it makes great sense to me, and is very similar to what I usually follow except for the training part.
When I follow your rountine I will do a heavy chest and back workout on Friday consisting of: 2 heavy sets of Flies and 2 heavy Rowing movements focusing on the eccentric contraction). This 4 set workout will be similar to the Heavy Duty routine followed by Yates, and has several advantages in regards to appearance for the following day.
1) This workout will cause microtrauma leading to intracellular edema over the next 2-3 days...making the muscles appear noticeably bigger/fuller.
2) This short workout will not deplete any muscle glycogen stores since it's only 4 sets (excluding warmup), and should not interfer with the carb-loading phase. This workout should not cause excessive sweating, but an extra cup or 2 of water may be needed.
I think most people will agree that they are "fuller" in the days following heavy workouts (especially after adding some heavy eccentric reps).
Therefore I think SCs diet advice is perfect, but I have found that a short heavy workout in the day prior to showing off my physique makes me appear noticeably thicker, fuller, and more vascular.
Do you guys agree with this???

Next time read your own sig before dishing out comments like that. Definition of your signature = SPAM which makes every one of your posts......well, you get the idea.

Yup, those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Nelson is the most blatant example of self-promotion there is on this site. No question about it.

Well, most everyone is already used to JA making a fool of himself --which I found increasing humorous for a while but now it's just annoying everyone. But since you may not know better, allow me to explain it to you.

First of all, my sig is put out by the EF site. That is not unsolicited promotion.

Secondly, when I post, it's in regard to the topic at hand. I have never come on the board to simply promote myself. Therein lies the difference.

Can anyone answer this? Karma...

yo......

Okie, if you continue to use the diuretic aids listed, or those chosen by yourself, you should be fine. Additionally, what helps is that you watch the sodium intake for the few days after your peak look, if you can. Usually the combo of watching EXCESSIVE sodium and still using some "pissing" aids, lol, will help you to not balloon out.

I recently did this for pics, then went to Reno for a vacation. I ate, drank, and had a party each night, and surpisingly I was okay, no edema and I didn't turn into a blowfish. I know how much you'd hate for that to happen, so you simply ease back into "normal" life very slowly.

Remember, for the astonishing excessive GOOD LOOK you'll have on that one day, u do have to be strict, but you can look damn near just as good days later by abiding by the above suggestions. This is partly why competitors look so damn good the day or two after the show.......they get some water and sodium in them, not enough to "spill" over, and they look full, ripped, striated.

I hope this helps you and anyone else who tries it.

Thanks,
SC

Thanks a million SC...I have been following your diet plan to a "T" since Saturday(missed Friday because I didn't see the article until Friday). One thing I haven't figured out is where the rice cakes and honey fit in. I was guessing that it was during the carb up phase. I will post how it went later next week and I will may be buying your diet services later this Summer if you have room for another client. :)

SC
I think you have dramatically simplified the protocol to looking you best.
Can you comment on my question regarding doing a short heavy workout on the day before photos? I just seem to look and feel bigger on the days following short and heavy workouts.
Thanks

......

cool Okie......hope it goes well for you. Yes, the honey and rice cakes are for the morning before the big event, as you get some fast acting carbs in there to work w/the slower acting ones you were consuming before.

Biggerthanu450, I usually refrain from working out a day (usually 3) before a show or photos, but that is because I'm not really focusing on normal adequate protein intake before these events, as it's carbs and the "pump" and fullness I want to have for the said events. (I worry about doing too much and not giving my muscles what they need to recover amino acid wise) You may appear/feel pumped and fuller because you performed some activity to "draw" in glycogen to the muscles and achieve a good amount of glycogen storage from the short heavy workouts. Some have the opposite result, and appear flat and stringy because the muscle is in "recovery" mode. I suspect your shorter/heavier protocol is better as you don't totally annhialate the muscle, but do just enough to have it "SUCK UP" and store the carbs/glycogen that you give it after your session.

If it does work for ya, then keep doing it. I'll experiment w/this next time on a leisurely shoot to see if I get the same result. Thanks for the insight my man.

SC,

OK...it's the day before my carb up phase and I'm really confused. You say to switch back and forth between chicken/sweet potatoes and just sweet potatoes. I weigh a little less than 200lbs so I would need almost 600g carbs each day. Sweet potatoes only contain about 27 carbs, so even if I eat 7 of them I am about 400 carbs short. How do I make that up or am I way off and it is only 600g carbs during the entire phase? That would be much easier to attain.

YO.....

check your mail bro, I explained it all to you in there per your e-mail inquiry.

Thanks!

SC can you make the info you gave to okie public?

(regarding how to consume carbs)

He basically told me that I needed about 450g of carbs per day since I weigh about 192lbs. He also said I could use rice, yams, oats, sweet potatoes or a combination of all of them for my carbs.

Here is another question for SC or anyone for that matter...

I am trying to eat sweet potatoes at least 2-3 times per day, but I just can't stomach them. I've eaten 2 today and I almost puked both times and it made my stomach nauseated. Can I just stick with rice and oats or is sweet potatoes a must? I know I'm being a wuss, those things are nasty! What about some sort of protein shake with maltodextrin? HELP!!!

they'll all become glucose anyway.. it's mostly just at the rate that they convert, so it looks like he's just trying to have you eat low GI carbs.. so anything low GI should work just fine...

but mmm.. I made up some sweet potato fries.. they were good fried up with some healthy fat (olive oil).

Wow, I never had that reaction....guess you can use any of the rest, but for me Sweet Potatoes are the staple of carb up....
