Swimming sux and I sux at it even worse

it is the one sport out of the the three that I compete in that I really have to work at to even be able to compete...I stink at it....

I hear you. It is really not the diffence in time that you finish with the top people as much as it it the difference in the amount of energy you spend. There is no way to have a great run if you come out of that pond tired so you might as well just train for swimming and forget the running portion.

Great point......so you learn ways to swim that take less energy.....you can always use a wetsuit...they help you float lol

Yeah - or how about but implants. I always wondered if you got those full of air if it would keep you afloat.

I dd a race one time where a one legged man beat me out of the water by about 5 minutes. I think he cheated as he only had one leg dragging him down.

I kicked his ass on the bike though so no problem in the end.

This is the answer for anyone who wants to swim better, no matter the level. I have been told by many that it is a must read for a swimmer. I have just started it so no experience yet but research it and I'm sure you will find the same.

To solve your "no music problem" I would go this way.

Never tried but maybe the best option?(expensive though)

Total immersion is the best. that is the website I posted earlier.

The best advice they give there is not to do any long distance until you have your form down.

Do the "Swim Golf" test. Add your strokes in 50m to your time in seconds. It will compare to a good golf score. If you are shooting over 100, you need to work on your form and not your distance.

As far as the headseets, I just don't see it working unless they can incorporate the entire kit inside a swim cap. Too much movement to be having wires hanging about.

Has anyone tried this itune swim kit??

LOLOL.. this reminds me of a friend that I have that skates marathons and a blind guy beat him lololol

Last complaint about this sport - pool shrinkage.

Now I am a grower not a sho-er to begin with and this place I swim at has communal showers - have not been to a sausage fest like that since Jr high.

Kind feel like pick3
