About 10 minutes until I pick up my order. Damn I nee a raise to eat it every night.

On a good note, they have monk fish liver tonight! No giant clam wth?

Just thought I would rub it in beetches.

I dont eat sushi but we pass a restaurant that has a sign that says "wednesdays Sushi $1"
do you think its a dollar each piece or something?
if so, that crap is expensive

i had sushi for lunch. i could eat it daily.

davis has like 3 sushi places on every block. One of the places does sushi boats, and this one guy comes in every monday and tries to house as many pieces as possible. His record is 54 plates (108 pieces of sush)!!!

what you get????

Monk fish liver

Salmon, hamachi, tuna (they didn't have toro or giant clam tonight) sweet shrimp, octopus, surf clam, eel, hamachi and green onion roll, tamago. mellow night.

Saki and MM at the sushi bar means a car payment usually lol. Had it for lunch yesterday as well. Slowly learning to prepare everything at home thome.
Actually I wish I could get some filet mignon sushi too. Last place I found that served it was in Boulder when Jewel was a waitress.

My favorite place downtown closed as well, they had spicy tuna hand rolls with pickled garlic and serranos, yummm. Best baked mussels ever and I never found the recipe.

$1 sushi was cheap when I first had it when I was in 5th grade hun. There are no more $1/piece worth eating here at least.

Choro is about $12-15 for 2 pieces and one of the most expensive. But it is easy to keep your bill down and intake up.

I'm going tonight. This place near me has a killer death roll and they always have toro. Love that stuff. They also have a kobe beef sashimi I'm a huge fan of.

I can't believe how many people love sushi. I myself do not eat any seafood, and I am also allergic to shellfish.

What drew you to it? Raw fish doesn't just seem that appealing to me. I'm not hatin or anything, just trying to understand the sushi craze.

It's something that you don't understand until you try, and then you wonder how you made it through life without this tasty treat.

I was introduced to it in 5th grade. I have loved it ever since. This was long before the "sushi craze" but I am thankful now for all the new places around here. I do not think, except for clean vietnamese, there is a better food to eat.

No idea what a death roll is, but toro and kobe are two of my favorites too! How do they prepare the kobe there?

The kobe is just dusted with spices and seared, quickly so it's still cold inside. They serve it over seaweed with flying fish roe and drizzle it with sirracha. Ohmygay, it's good.

A death roll is a softshell crab roll but spicy as fahk.

So a spicy spider roll? sounds very good.

The kobe I had was served raw, with green onions, garlic paste and sweet soy. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

They'll usually at least do a quick sear of the outside, since that's the only place bacteria will manifest. But yeah, your place sounds dialed in.
