SuperQT’s staying the course log…

QT -- making killer progress! It does suck being somewhere between all the different available competitions. It really sucks. Really sucks. I'm so tired of being "big" and then trying to cut down to come out 20 lb smaller than everyone else my height. My future is probably going to hold more "figure" than "bb", if anything.

I would honestly say to explore every aspect of everything that you want- you are young and have a crazy strong base. The rest of it is just body reshaping for whichever competition style you pursue. I've finally hit the point where my body may not allow me to do what I want anymore. In fact, I've run into a lot of very fitness driven, competitive people around the 40 mark who are all experiencing all sorts of problems that are making them think more about their goals going forward. The thing I don't like the most about aging is losing your choices as your body just can't support anymore w/ the same aggressiveness & mindset that you used to. So use it while you got it!

Thanks Sassy I keep wavering on what I want to do I know with my build I can easy do either BB or figure.

DG I don't know if they have those obstical course deals here in Canada. I can check. If figure had more then just quarter turns I wouldn't feel this way. I could compete in another federation where figure does routines but then I would have to clean out as it is a natural federation.

I love this quote :)

I don't like the direction figure is heading. VERY thin. The body fat is higher than what you'd need for a bb comp, but damn. Those chicks are hella thin. In my mind, this isn't a good message to be sending out to women...

Those pictures you were showing from the "O" -- jeez. Well it might take a season to see where the hell the judges want to take it - you mentioned that you thought Iris Kyle looked good - but they've been trying to do this 20% smaller thing for 2 yrs - maybe it took her & the other really hyuge old school girls to adapt their bodies the right way? Now its the figure girls' turn?

I am also worried tho. I don't get what they want and I think they are talking about what they want in terms of what they don't want - i.e. "not as hard", "not as muscular", etc as it was going 2 yrs ago. If they can't speak in absolute terms instead of relative terms its going to be a step by step inching.

Yeah it is so hard to say which way they will go with figure it changes so much show to to show etc. I know in Canada the girls that got there procards this year still had a whole lot of muscle and were not stringy at all.

My quote for today

Asking them to cut muscle in figure (IMO) is a mistake. I really liked the look a couple of years ago. Now...holy hell. I'd look like a concentration camp victim trying to cut down to that. Some of them did have that look - but with a good tan. :D lolol. That is so hard on the body.

QT - You have a build very similar to mine - you gain muscle easily. I think fitness would be a good direction for you if you decide to go for it...or bb. I thought Jen Hendershott (sp) and the other fitness women looked really good. Small, but very muscular.

Thankls Shorty :D Yeah if I can get the moves down I think I will move in that direction. Although BB is still applealing to me as well. I have some big plans for the new year I been kicking around the idea of hiring a big name trainer more and more is pointing me in his direction.

OMG can aspargas make my #2 green? :worried:
Yes. #2 reflects what you consume, as long as when/how often you're going is about the same, and you feel fine, don't worry. The time to worry when #2 changes and there's been no change in your diet and/or you're having pain in some part of your abdomen and/or if your schedule has suddenly changed (going A LOT more frequently or not going for days in a row).
