I had a 1982 wagon when I was in High School and put over 200,000 miles on it.. I have 2 friends that have them and one just turned 300,000 and he said he has done literally nothing to it other than basic maintenance. I dont like the looks of them however they are one long lasting vehicle....Share your vehicle stories of longevity!!!!!

owned it new from california, through ND for 5 yrs and then to Minnesota.. put 240k miles on it, replaced the clutch 1x and then in the end, i replaced the box that had rust throughout..

i miss that truck..

2001 jeep wrangler

$trade in value was $6000 for a 2007 honda accord with 10xxx miles on it, got it for $14k after trade in i financed $10,600 ... i expect to keep this one for some time for the wife..

my truck is paid for and will keep it till the wheels fall off, 2005 s10...

My subie has 140K miles on it and it's been a champ. And i've driven the hell out of it. I replaced the clutch once and all it's ever needed was regular tune-ups. I plan to drive it into the ground.

The 1995 Grand Caravan my husband and I have currently. She is about to roll 225,000. Original tranny, original engine, original exhaust system and it's the dreaded 3.0 automatic model that everyone said was cursed. Oh, plus the van itself weighs about 3,500 lbs. and we towed a popup trailer that weighed only slightly less than that for a few years with it ... even our mechanic laughs and shakes his head in disbelief at it.

But then, my husband and I put some serious good mojo into that van :qt:

Ive actually seen several of the old Carvans with 130,000 plus miles however they looked rough...paint wise etc:::

230k is a record for these, particularly with all original components and all the towing we've done with her. We've just replaced the timing belt for the third time and she needs new bearings again. Runs like a top though. Standard maintenance stuff, really. Parts wear out after a decade, what can you do?

Her paint ain't horrible but we've been promising her a new paint job for a while. From a distance she's all one color, doesn't have that horrible two toned hood I've seen some of them get, just has circular quarter sized spots where the paint has faded to the primer. She's been clipped a few times, nothing catastrophic.

All in all, we really love that van.
