Stretch Marks!!?!?!?

Since I had my daughter (3rd baby) I now have stretch marks on the front of my tummy (lower abs). They are disgusting,I never had these with my sons and did nothing different other than the fact that I lost alot of weight before I got pregnant with her and the years between my youngest son and my daughter is like 7 yrs, I hide my tummy b/c it's ugly to look at. I've seen worse but for me this is something I'm having a hard time dealing with. Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there anything I can do?????

maybe try putting cocoa butter on your tummy...i have had 3 kids as well..i have stretch marks in hidden spots thank god..although i do have some stretched skin on my lower tummy that is being a bitch to rid of....like i said try cocoa butter it wont rid of them but the cream will help then not be so bad

I do use cocoa butter all over b/c I have dry skin and it works so well. I also use some aloe as well. I will have to maybe double up on it on my tummy. It's not that bad and not obvious unless you are close up to me butttttttt non the less I know it's there and it bugs the hell out of me. My biggest fear is that I will tone up and look great and have this nasty skin on my lower abs that I can do nothing about but hide it. Oh the joys of being a woman :verygood: LOL.

I'm going to apply it 3xdaily and I'll let you know how it does. Lazer I wish I had the money for that, but right now things are tight. The story of my life. LOL

Let me just say AMEN SISTER!!! I like my breast (although they could be a bit more perkey,LOL) I'm a D cup I have grown one size since I started lifting. I thought I would lose them but I'm not complaining.LOL I think once I lose more weight I will lose some. My biggest problem areas are my lower tummy and my thighs and butt. I seem to carry my weight there. Sux really bad. I'm aiming for a size 7 I'm at a 9/10 now, I will get there I swear I will. LOL

Regarding the cocoa butter, I believe it may help prevent stretch marks, but I cant see how it could remediate them at all. Remember a stretch mark is really nothing more than a tear in the dermis layer of your skin and I'm not sure cocoa butter can even penetrate that far which would be neccesary to prevent tearing.

If your stretch marks are still red I know Mederma helps. It's pretty well known stuff. I'm surprised you didnt mention it.

I believe it helps smooth and flatten out even the clear ones too, not sure though. Let us know how it works for you. I've no doubt they'll be other ladies interested in your results. :)

I go shopping on Friday I'll get some then. I think wal mart sells it. I hope so anyway, if not I'll order it from the site. I'll keep you all posted. I should take pics before and after, when I get brave enough I'll post them. LOL

Strivectin and Mederma will help the redness. Laser I think can lighten them. And a tummy tuck can remove them but leave you with a scar. Personally I have them but my abs are very tight and I do not have any loose skin for a tummy tuck so I am stuck with em. But...as ugly as they are....Im a tiger!!! Try to think of it as positively as possible. Hey it shows that you are a real woman with your stripes! Or you can say they are your battle wounds. lol

I am using the mederma but I'm not going to go to the extreme to get rid of them. I think once I lost more inches on my lower tummy and tighten it up more they will look better (if that's at all possible) LOL

I know what u mean about breasts.I have always had big breasts.A lot of women think its a good thing but it really sucked when I was only in the 4th grade, wearing a C cup.It really hurt my self esteem. But now that i'm 26, it's not so bad as long as I take care of them. The best thing I have ever found to work on keeping the chest area tight and lifted, when u have large breasts-- PUSH UPS.I swear by it.I do a lot of cardio and weights but the push ups make a huge difference.I do a a lot of push ups. When ever I stop doing push ups for over a week, I feel my upper half falling a little south, even with still doing weights.Push ups.I swear.

I'll have to put that in my routine. Have you ever done negetives after you have done all your sets of regular push ups? OMG they suck so bad but oh man do they ever work.

Here's how I was told to do them. Do your sets of regular push up and when you don't feel like you can go on take it down to you knees (like you doing "girl" pushups) then go down very slow but to slow like 4 down and 2 up or something like that. You wouldn't believe how much this will intensify the pushup. I remember the first time I did them I fell right on my face after only 9. LOL But the next day my chest was sooooo sore!!!!! ;)

I will give it a try for my next workout(in the morning). It's always good to try something new.Plus, I have always heard that going to neg's really help, especially when u think u have done your max. When I do weights I always do my max, then drop down to lower weight, then max, again, then lighter weights -- all the way down the rack.It works great.Just have not tried it with pushups but it only makes sense.I will keep u updated.
