The case here is not whether or not the donor should be liable for child support - the case is whether or not the contract between the mother and father (donor) was legally binding.

A court in Texas forced a man to pay child support for children his wife had conceived with the man that she cheated on him with... which led to him divorcing her too...

That court was just as wrong.


No... a sperm donor is a sperm donor... he has no say, and no responsiblity. That is fucking rediculous...

I agree with you - the sperm donor is not responsible - but in this particular case it appears that the man "got screwed" because of the contract between them.

What is disgusting is what men feel entitled to get away with in this society.

Every child should have the reasonable expectation of having two parents in its life. I doubt there is a human ever born without the natural desire to know his or her father.

That some lil bitch, feeling entitled to do as he pleases with no consideration for the impact on the life of another human being, got sued, and lost, is so far down on my list of "injustices" I would be hard pressed to care less. It isn't about him, or the stupid woman. The child is the one being protected here

Manny, then there shouldn't be any more sperm donors. All these "complications" are the result of individuals and society attempting to ignore the most basic of natural laws.

Sorry for all the potential future "moms" but having a child isn't just about you. It was never intended to be a method of personal validation or a "feel good" experience.

To bring a child into the world under those circumstances is entirely thoughtless and selfish. It stems from a false manufactured impression that fathers are irrelevant to the healthy upbringing of a child. Women need to self actualize somewhere else
