I don't think I'll get one though, I think sony doomed themselves this generation by charging to much.

They don't have nearly the support they used to have and Sony is notorious for showing bullshit "real time" game play.

I'm sure some do, but no. Gaming isn't for kids nowadays. It's overwhelmingly developed for persons 18 and up. (the ones who were kids during the Nintendo)

Sure the Wii still has kid games, and other games are for younger players, but gaming certainly isn't what it use to be. They are more like a movie being played out and dictated by the player than an actual game.

So I suppose that's why the consoles are also $500 +.
Because they know we can afford it and will buy it, lol.

The price drop on the PS3 is just temporary. They're coming out with an 80gb model that will be $599 and have discontinued the 60gb model. So once the 60gb's are gone, no more $499 PS3s
